Tarnol, Islamabad
Tarnol is a small town and suburb located about north-west of Islamabad. The primary languages of the area are Urdu, Western Punjabi(Panjistani) and Pashto. Tarnol is located at a 25 minute drive from the Zero Point and Islamabad International Airport. Most of the population commute to Islamabad or Rawalpindi for work. The town is at above sea level. Tube Well
A tube well is a type of water well in which a long, -wide, stainless steel tube or pipe is bored underground. The lower end is fitted with a strainer, and a pump lifts water for irrigation. Islamabad International Airport
Islamabad International Airport () () is an international airport serving Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan and Rawalpindi. It is located south-west of the city, and is directly connected to the Lahore and Peshawar motorways as well to the capital city Islamabad via Srinagar Highway. Zero Point Interchange
Zero Point Interchange is a large cloverleaf interchange in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is located at the intersection of Islamabad Highway, Srinagar Highway, and Khayaban-e-Suharwardy. It was inaugurated in 5 July 2011, and has an estimated life of 30 years. History In 1997, a French firm had been hired to come up with the PC-I of the project, but the Capital Development Authority had rejected it. Technical flaws and political interference led to the project being put on hold five times. The interchange was designed by ECIL, and construction work started on 11 September 2008. Mumtaz Hussain served as the project director.
