Tanel Leok
Tanel Leok (born 1 June 1985) is an Estonian professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2001. Early life Tanel was born in Võru, Estonia and currently resides in Balen, Belgium. His father, Arvo Leok, was a motocross rider and introduced his son to the sport at a young age. He lived in Estonia and attended Sõmerpalu Primary school until he was 16 years old when he decided to pursue his racing career full-time. Career Early career He became the first rider with two junior world titles to his credit, winning the 85 cc FIM world cup in 2000 and the 125cc FIM Junior World Cup in 2001. Tanel Padar (born 27 October 1980) is an Estonian singer and songwriter. He is best known internationally for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2001. Tanel Tammet
Tanel Tammet is an Estonian computer scientist, professor, software engineer, and computer programmer. He was also one of the founding members of the Estonian Greens party, and helped found the IT College in Tallinn. Life and career Born in 1965, Tammet had early access to the University of Tartu's computers through his father's work at the physics department. As a result, he eventually graduated the university's maths department in applied mathematics, specializing in information technology. He took interest in automated theorem proving and graduated the Gothenburg Chalmers University of Technology in with a Ph.D. in 1992. Tanel Kangert (born 11 March 1987) is an Estonian former road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional from 2008 to 2022. Early life Kangert was born in Vändra, Estonia. He attended kindergarten alongside fellow Estonian cyclist Rein Taaramäe. Career Kangert signed his first professional contract with in 2008, after riding with the team as a stagiaire in the 2007 season. In the same year, he finished first in the Estonian National Time Trial Championships. However during 2008 he also suffered from severe pain in both of his knees, requiring surgery to allow them to move more naturally. This forced him to race as an amateur during the 2010 season. Tanel Tein (born 10 January 1978) is an Estonian former professional basketball player. He was named Estonian Player of the Year in 2008. Tein played one season of college basketball for the St. Francis Terriers. Professional career Tein started his career playing for hometown team Tartu in 1993 and led them to two Estonian championships (2000, 2001) and three Estonian Cups (2000–2002). Tanel Kurbas (born 8 May 1988) is an Estonian professional basketball player for Kalev/Cramo of the Korvpalli Meistriliiga. Standing at 1.97 m (6 ft 6 in), he plays at the shooting guard and small forward positions. He also represents the Estonian national basketball team internationally. Tanel Joamets (born 14 September 1968 in Tartu) is an Estonian pianist. He graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 1994. In 1998 he got a scholarship for post-graduate studies in Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Tanel Toom (born 1 November 1982) is an Estonian director and screenwriter. Toom studied filmmaking at Tallinn University, graduating with a BA in 2005.
