Tambach Teachers Training College
Tambach Teachers College is a college in Tambach, Elgeyo-Marakwet County, Kenya. It is one of the 20 public primary teachers colleges in Kenya and among the last five of such institutions constructed in the late 1980s by the government of Kenya through the support of the World Bank. The college is situated in the Kerio escarpment section of Elgeyo-Marakwet County along the Eldoret-Kabarnet road. The college is 43 km from Eldoret and 11 km from Iten, the District Headquarters. The college opened its doors to the first batch of 372 students in September 1991. These comprised nine classes, six of the P1 grade, two of P2 and one of P3 grade. Since 1996, the college has been training only P1 students. History Teacher training at Tambach started in the 1940s. Elgeyo-Marakwet County
Elgeyo-Marakwet County is one of Kenya's 47 Counties of Kenya, counties. Located in the former Rift Valley Province, its capital and largest town is Iten. It borders the counties of West Pokot to the north, Baringo County to the east, southeast and south, Uasin Gishu to the southwest and west, and Trans Nzoia to the northwest. Eldoret is a city in the Rift Valley region of Kenya. It serves as the capital of Uasin Gishu County. Kabarnet
Kabarnet is a town in Baringo County, Kenya. According to the 2019 census, the town had a population of 22,474 with 10,943 (48.8%) of them being males and 11,531(51.1%) of them being females. Geography At an altitude of 1,815 metres (5,957 feet) Kabarnet is located on the eastern edge of the Kerio Valley, it is approximately 138 km north of Nakuru town on the Nakuru-Marigat-Kabarnet road and 89 km east of Eldoret on the Eldoret-Iten-Kabarnet road. Iten
Iten is a town in Elgeyo-Marakwet County in the Republic of Kenya and serves as the capital and is the largest town in the county. International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) awarded the town with a plaque recognising Iten as a World Athletics Heritage Landmark. Because of its Elevation of about 2400 metres above sea level, it attracts many sports Champions due to the benefit of training at high altitude. Daniel Arap Moi
Daniel Toroitich arap Moi ( ; 2 September 1924 – 4 February 2020) was a Kenyan politician who served as the second president of Kenya from 1978 to 2002. He is the country's longest-serving president to date. Moi previously served as the third vice president of Kenya from 1967 to 1978 under President Jomo Kenyatta, becoming the president following the latter's death.
