Tallinn City Government
Tallinn City Government ( et, Tallinna linnavalitsus) is the executive body, which conducts the work of all institutions (except City Council Office) and subinstitutions of Tallinn, Estonia. The body's building is located at Freedom Square. The body has eight members: mayor and seven deputy mayors. Current (2024) mayor is Jevgeni Ossinovski. The work of the body takes place as session. Regular sessions takeks places on Wednesdays. Tallinn () is the most populous and capital city of Estonia. Freedom Square, Tallinn
Freedom Square ( et, Vabaduse väljak) is a plaza on the southern end of the Old Town in Tallinn, Estonia, where state functions and various concerts take place. It is bounded on the east by St. John's Church (built 1862–67), on the south by Kaarli Boulevard and an underground shopping center (2008–09), and on the west by a Victory Column (2009) commemorating the Estonian War of Independence 1918–1920. Jevgeni Ossinovski (born 15 March 1986) is an Estonian politician, former leader of the Estonian Social Democratic Party. Early life and education He is the son of Oleg Ossinovski ( et), a prominent railway industrialist who moved to Estonia from Kazakhstan in the 1980s. London School of Economics and Political Science has awarded him MSc in Comparative Politics (with Distinction) in 2010. Political career Ossinovski was the Minister of Education and Research from 26 March 2014 to 9 April 2015. Since 14 September 2015 he is the Minister of Health and Labor.
