Tall Timber is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Boulder County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Boulder, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the Tall Timber CDP was 185 at the United States Census 2020. The Boulder post office ( Zip Code 80302) serves the area. Geography Tall Timber is located in central Boulder County, in the hills west of the city of Boulder. ''Tall Timber'' is a 1926 Australian silent film about a rich man who flees the city and works in a timber mill. It is considered a lost film. In 1937, Cinesound Productions, the company that followed Australasian Films under the Greater Union banner, made a movie set in the timber industry called '' Tall Timbers''. It was directed by Ken G. Hall who claimed he had never seen the 1926 ''Tall Timber''. Synopsis Jack Maxwell, son of a wealthy stockbroker, is disowned by his father after a raucous party, and goes to work at a mill in the North Coast timber district owned by his friend Dick Desmond. ''Park Avenue Logger'' is a 1937 American lumberjack Western film directed by David Howard. The film is also known as ''Millionaire Playboy'' in the United Kingdom and ''Tall Timber'' (American reissue title). It is based on the short story of the same name by Bruce Hutchison that appeared in the 30 November 1935 issue of the Saturday Evening Post. Plot Mike Curran believes his son Grant is an effete aesthete and decides to toughen him up by sending him under a false name to work at one of Mike's logging camps. Unknown to the elder Curren, his son spends his evenings as a masked wrestler; Grant believes his family would be embarrassed if they knew the truth.
