''Viktor Lazlo'' is the self-titled second studio album by French-Belgian singer Viktor Lazlo. Belgium was responsible to host the Eurovision Song Contest after Sandra Kim had won in 1986 with her song J'aime la vie. Lazlo was asked to host the event as she is fluent in several languages and thus her self-titled album became very successful all over Europe, entering the Top 20 album charts in Holland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It spent 19 weeks on the German album charts. The Eurovision Song Contest 1987 was the 32nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Brussels, Belgium, following the country's victory at the with the song " J'aime la vie" by Sandra Kim. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster (RTBF), the contest was held at the Centenary Palace on 9 May 1987 (also Europe Day) and hosted by French-Belgian singer Viktor Lazlo. Twenty-two countries took part in the contest with and returning to the competition after their absences the previous year. Etterlene "Bunny" DeBarge (born March 10, 1955) is an American soul singer–songwriter and the lone female sibling of the Motown family group DeBarge. "J'aime la vie" (; "I Love Life") is a song recorded by Belgian singer Sandra Kim, with music composed by Jean Paul Furnémont and Angelo Crisci, and lyrics by Marino Atria. Sandra Caldarone (born 15 October 1972), better known as Sandra Kim, is a Belgian singer of Italian descent who won the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 in Bergen, Norway. Her father was an Italian immigrant from Torrebruna in the Province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of Italy. At the time of her Eurovision win, she was only 13 years old, making her the youngest winner of the contest, even though the lyrics of her song " J'aime la vie" ("I love life") imply that she is 15; the Swiss petitioned to have the song disqualified after her real age was revealed. This petition ended up failing and Kim went on to win that year's Eurovision Song Contest. Sonia Dronnier (born 7 October 1960), known by her stage name Viktor Lazlo, is a French writer, singer, and comedian. Born in France, she studied in Belgium, where she is primarily known. Her biggest hit was "Breathless" in 1987. That year she also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 1987 held in Brussels as well as several TV shows and literary events. She has published six novels between 2010 and 2024, and has also written short stories. ''She'' is the first studio album by French-Belgian singer Viktor Lazlo. The album consists of several original Smooth jazz, jazz pop compositions and includes two cover versions, the first one being Rita Hayworth, Rita Hayworth's Put the Blame on Mame, and a French version of the Julie London song Cry Me a River (1953 song), Cry Me a River, entitled ''Pleurer Des Rivieres''. The song was successful on the French single charts peaking at No. 27. Seven songs were eventually released as a single off the album: ''Backdoorman'', ''Last Call For An Angel'', ''Loser'' and ''Sweet, Soft'N'Lazy'', which became successful but wasn't ranked on any chart.
