TOGETHER - Civic Democracy
The Democrats (), known as Together – Civic Democracy (, Spolu) from 2018 until 2023, and later the Blue Coalition (, Modrí), is a Slovak political party founded in 2018 by Miroslav Beblavý. The party has changed leadership multiple times and is led by the former Minister of Defense of Slovakia Jaroslav Naď since 2 December 2023. Ideology Together – Civic Democracy was a centre-right conservative liberal and liberal conservative party. Spolu was placed as centrist or centre-right on the political spectrum. The former chairman of the party Eduard Heger presented the party as centrist, pro-European, pro-NATO and green. Jaroslav Naď
Jaroslav Naď (born 21 March 1981) is a Slovak politician who served as Minister of Defence between March 2020 and May 2023, as a nominee of OĽaNO. He specialises in national security issues and previously worked with Globsec. Naď currently serves as a deputy chairman of the Democrats. Early life and education Naď grew up in Banská Štiavnica and settled in the village of Hrubá Borša near Senec. He has a brother named René and is the brother-in-law of Anton Tretinár. Naď majored in Political Science at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica in 2007 and received further training at the European Security and Defence College in Brussels. In 2018, he obtained his PhD from the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik. TA3 () is a Slovak private news channel. It started officially broadcasting on 23 September 2001, although its first (special) broadcast was on 11 September 2001 due to the September 11 attacks, which coincided with scheduled testing of the service.
