Sørumsand Station
Sørumsand Station () is a railway station located at Sørumsand in Sørum in Akershus, Norway. History The station is on Kongsvinger Line and is served hourly, with extra rush hour departures, by the Oslo Commuter Rail line R14 operated by Vy. In addition there are trains to Sweden operated by Vy Tåg on weekends. The station was opened as part of the Kongsvinger Line in 1892. In 1906 it became the terminal station of Urskog–Høland Line, though the latter line closed in 1961. Today there is a heritage railway that operates from Sørumsand to Fossum. Sørum was a municipality in Akershus county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Romerike. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Sørumsand. Sørum was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The municipality of Blaker was merged with Sørum on 1 January 1962. Since 1 January 2020, Sørum has been part of Lillestrøm municipality. Frogner Old Church Frogner Old Church (''Frogner gamle kirke'') dates from ca. 1180. Vy Tåg AB is a Swedish railway company that operates franchises in different parts of Sweden. The company was founded in 1999 by three former railway employees in Statens Järnvägar and the investment company Småföretagsinvest/Fylkinvest.
