Szczepan Twardoch
Szczepan Lech Twardoch (; born 23 December 1979 in Knurów) is a Polish- Silesian writer. He has written a series of best-selling novels such as ''Morphine'' (2012), ''Drach'' (2014),''The King'' (2016), ''The Kingdom'' (2018) and ''Pokora'' (2020). ''The King'' has been turned into a TV series, first broadcast on the Canal+ network. He has won numerous literary prizes among them the Brücke Berlin-Preis and Le Prix du Livre Européen. Career Twardoch completed his education in sociology at the Interdepartmental Individual Studies in the Humanities of University of Silesia in Katowice. As an independent journalist, Twardoch's work has appeared in various publications including ''Gazeta Wyborcza'', and ''Rzeczpospolita''. He served as the editor of the literary section for the bimonthly magazine ''Christianitas'' and has been a regular columnist for '' Polityka'' and ''Wysokie Obcasy Extra''. Gdynia Literary Prize
Gdynia Literary Prize ( pl, Nagroda Literacka Gdynia) is a Polish literary prize, which is awarded annually to authors of the best books published in the previous year in the prose, poetry, essay and (since 2014) translation categories. It was established in 2006 by Wojciech Szczurek, mayor of Gdynia, who stated that "The idea of Gdynia Literary Prize is to honour unique achievements of contemporary Polish authors which shall determine a strong and also permanent impulse to further intensify activities in literature and art in its broad meaning". The list of nominees is announced in May during the International Book Fair (Międzynarowe Targi Książki) in Warsaw. The prizes which consist of the "Literature Cube" statuette and 50.000 PLN are presented at the Grand Gala in June in Gdynia. A planet is a large, rounded astronomical body that is neither a star nor its remnant. The best available theory of planet formation is the nebular hypothesis, which posits that an interstellar cloud collapses out of a nebula to create a young protostar orbited by a protoplanetary disk. Kazimierz Julian Kutz (16 February 1929 – 18 December 2018) was a Polish film director, author, journalist and politician, one of the representatives of the Polish Film School and a deputy speaker of the Senate of Poland. Biography Kazimierz Kutz was born on 16 February 1929 in Szopienice, since 1960 district of Katowice, to a railway worker and a former partisan of the Silesian Uprisings. After the World War II Kutz graduated from gymnasium in Mysłowice and in 1949 was admitted to the Łódź Film School. Canals or artificial waterways are waterways or engineered channels built for drainage management (e.g. flood control and irrigation) or for conveyancing water transport vehicles (e.g. water taxi). They carry free, calm surface flow under atmospheric pressure, and can be thought of as artificial rivers.
