Syfy (formerly Sci-Fi) is a Spanish digital satellite/cable television channel. It was launched on 1 June 2006 and specializes in science fiction, fantasy, and horror shows and movies. Owned by Universal Networks International, it is the fifth extension of the Syfy brand. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for Digitization, digitizing 625 lines, 625 line Analog television, analogue television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz.
