Outlander (TV Series)
''Outlander'' is a historical drama television series based on the book series of the same name by Diana Gabaldon. Developed by Ronald D. Moore, the show premiered on August 9, 2014, on Starz. It stars Caitríona Balfe as Claire Randall, an English former World War II military nurse in Scotland who, in 1945, finds herself transported back in time to 1743. There, she encounters, falls in love with, and marries a dashing Highland warrior named Jamie Fraser ( Sam Heughan), a tacksman of Clan Fraser of Lovat. Here, Claire becomes embroiled in the Jacobite rising. Historical fantasy is a category of fantasy and genre of historical fiction that incorporates fantastic elements (such as magic (fantasy), magic) into a more "realistic" narrative. Military Nurse
Most professional militaries employ specialised military nurses or nursing sisters. They are often organised as a distinct nursing corps. Florence Nightingale formed the first nucleus of a recognised Nursing Service for the British Army during the Crimean War in 1854. Michael Daley Coulter (born 29 August 1952) is a Scottish cinematographer.
