Sverre Cornelius Lund
Sverre Cornelius Lund (December 9, 1931 – October 21, 2012) was a Norwegians, Norwegian accordionist known from his radio broadcasts and album releases. In the 1960s, Lund released several albums, including collaborations with Frank Cook (Norwegian musician), Frank Cook and Arnstein Johansen. Later he played with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Stavanger Ensemble. He was one of the founders of the Norwegian Accordionists' Association and thirty other local clubs, including in Narvik (town), Narvik, where he occasionally resided. In Oslo he ran the company S. C. L. Music for several decades. He created the designs for the Cornelli Gold and Excelsior Tosca accordions. Lund was the father of the singer Geir Cornelius Lund (1963–2008) and the mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Cornelius Lund. He lived in Costa del Sol. Frank Cook (Norwegian Musician)
Frank Robert Cook (March 25, 1924 – August 13, 1982) was a Norwegian jazz musician and band leader. Cook was born in Oslo, the son of Axel Brynjulf Christensen Cook (1886–1927) and Ingeborg Alma Cook (née Isaksen, 1888–1982). He was known for his performances in the 1950s with Nora Brockstedt, Per Asplin, Lillian Harriet, and Frank Ottersen, in Rowland Greenberg's quintets and the Carsten Klouman Trio, as well as in his own ensemble, Frank Cook's Orkester, where he played bass together with vocalists such as Anders Saus and Per Müller. Arnstein Johansen
Arnstein Johansen (June 19, 1925 – September 26, 2013) was a Norwegian accordionist that played jazz and old-fashioned dances. He became well-known through his recordings and his international collaboration. Life Johansen was born in Fredrikstad. He studied under Ottar E. Akre, Thorleif Ekren, and Gunnar Sønstevold, and also at the Norwegian Academy of Music. After the Second World War, he played in a duet with Rolf Andersen, and then spent time in the United States, playing with Pietro Frosini, Guido Deiro, and Anthony Galla-Rini. Norwegian Radio Orchestra
The Norwegian Radio Orchestra (Norwegian, ''Kringkastingsorkestret'', abbreviated as KORK) is a radio orchestra affiliated with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (''Norsk rikskringkasting AS'', or NRK). Its principal base is the ''Store Studio'' at the NRK's headquarters in Oslo. The orchestra's current chief administrator is Rolf Lennart Stensø. As of 2018, KORK consists of fifty-nine musicians. Stavanger Ensemble
Stavanger (, , US usually , ) is a city and municipality in Norway. Norwegian Accordionists' Association
The Norwegian Accordionists' Association ( no, Norske Trekkspilleres Landsforbund, NTL) is a Norwegian musical organization for accordionists that was established on October 17, 1971. The association's founders included Aage Grundstad. It has just over 3,000 members (grouped by counties), of which 200 are accordion orchestr
