Frank Cook (Norwegian Musician)
Frank Robert Cook (March 25, 1924 – August 13, 1982) was a Norwegian jazz musician and band leader. Cook was born in Oslo, the son of Axel Brynjulf Christensen Cook (1886–1927) and Ingeborg Alma Cook (née Isaksen, 1888–1982). He was known for his performances in the 1950s with Nora Brockstedt, Per Asplin, Lillian Harriet, and Frank Ottersen, in Rowland Greenberg's quintets and the Carsten Klouman Trio, as well as in his own ensemble, Frank Cook's Orkester, where he played bass together with vocalists such as Anders Saus and Per Müller. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Bjørn Krokfoss (born 10 August 1943 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian musician (drummer), known from playing within Magnolia Jazzband (1968) og Stokstad/Jensen Trad.Band (1969), Canal Street Jazzband (1976), in Rowland Greenberg's band (1979). Biography He established his own Bjørn Krokfoss Swing Octet in Trondheim (1979–) who released the albums ''Old news'' (1981) and '' It don't mean a thing...'' (1998). The band in 1998 was Asmund Bjørken, Dag Aasen, Helge Førde, Jarle Førde, Kalle Holst, Lasse Hansen, Oddmund Finnseth and Per Olaf Green. Krokfoss was also central to the establishment of Oslo's first JazzMazz (1979). The Octet released album on the label Talent (1981) and touredin Norway playing at Moldejazz 1981 among others. Ingeborg Cook
Ingeborg Cook (born Alma Ingeborg Cook, May 13, 1915 – December 27, 2003) was a Norwegian actress and singer. Cook was born in Galveston, Texas, the daughter of Axel Brynjulf Christensen Cook (1886–1927) and Ingeborg Alma Cook (née Isaksen, 1888–1982). She left the United States for Norway when she was one year old. She married Victor Borg. Cook debuted as an actress in the film ''Tørres Snørtevold'' in 1940. She played a long series of roles both in film and on television. Her last role as an actress was in the sitcom ''Karl & Co'' in 1999 at the age of 84. Ingeborg Cook was the sister of the bass player and band leader Frank Cook. Vestre Gravlund
Vestre Gravlund is a cemetery in the Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is located next to the Borgen metro station. At , it is the largest cemetery in Norway. It was inaugurated in September 1902 and also contains a crematorium (''Vestre krematorium'') and chapel (''Gravkapellet''). The grave chapel was constructed in granite and clay stone and was designed by architect Alfred Christian Dahl (1857–1940). It was built in 1900 and consecrated in 1902. Wenche Synnøve Myhre (born 15 February 1947), known in some countries as Wencke Myhre, is a Norwegian singer who has had a great number of hit songs since the 1960s in the Norwegian, Danish, German and Swedish markets and languages.
