Suhareka
Suhareka (also known as Suharekë and Therandë in Albanian) оr Suva Reka ( sr-Cyrl, Сува Река) is a town and municipality located in the Prizren district of central-southern Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town has 10,422 inhabitants, while the municipality has 59,722 inhabitants. Suhareka is located from the city of Prizren, and from Kosovo's capital, Prishtina. Name ''Suva Reka'' means "dry river" in Serbian. The Albanian spellings are ''Suharekë'' or ''Suhareka'' (derived from the Slavic form), while an alternative name was recently created by the Albanological Institute, ''Therandë'', adopted from an unlocated ancient site (possibly in Suhareka or Lubizhda in the Mirusha valley). Municipalities Of Kosovo
A municipality ( sq, komuna, sr, / ) is the basic administrative division in Kosovo and constitutes the only level of power in local governance. There are 38 municipalities in Kosovo; 27 of which have an Albanian ethnic majority, 10 Serb and 1 Turkish. After the 2013 Brussels Agreement, signed by the governments of Kosovo and Serbia, an agreement was made to create a Community of Serb Municipalities, which would operate within Kosovo's legal framework. Since 2013, the agreement has not been fulfilled by Kosovo's authorities, calling upon its constitution and "territorial integrity". Rečane, Suva Reka
Rečane ( sr-cyr, Речане, sq, Reçan), or Reqan, is a settlement in the Suva Reka (Suhareka) municipality in the disputed region of Kosovo. The rural settlement lies 483 m above sea level in a cadastral area of the same name, covering 679 hectares. It has an ethnic Albanian majority. In the last census of the population, it had over 1,600 residents. History Rečane is mentioned for the first time in the "Saint Archangels charter" (Svetoarhanđelska povelja) of Emperor Stephen Uroš IV Dušan, dating to 1348; Rečane was granted (''metochion'') to the Saint Archangels Monastery, the Emperor's foundation, in Prizren. The Albanians of Kosovo ( sq, Shqiptarët e Kosovës, ), also commonly called Kosovo Albanians, Kosovar/Kosovan Albanians or Kosovars/Kosovans, constitute the largest ethnic group in Kosovo. Church of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was a Serbian Orthodox church located in Suva Reka, city and seat of the eponymous municipality in central Kosovo and Metohija. The church was built in 1938, and it belonged to the Diocese of Raška and Prizren of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The Kosovo Force (KFOR) is a NATO-led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo. Its operations are gradually reducing until Kosovo's Security Force, established in 2009, becomes self sufficient. KFOR entered Kosovo on 11 June 1999, two days after the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1244. At the time, Kosovo was facing a grave humanitarian crisis, with military forces from Yugoslavia in action against the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in daily engagements. Serbian cultural and religious sites in Kosovo were systematically vandalized and destroyed over several historical periods, during the Ottoman rule, World War I, World War II, Yugoslav communist rule, Kosovo War and 2004 unrest.
