Subconscious (album)
''Subconscious'' is the second studio album from American singer Samantha James under the label Om Records. The album was released on June 22, 2010, featuring the first single "Waves of Change", produced by Kaskade. Background James considers this record a "miracle" after experiencing emotional distress, due to her father's death from cancer, and a bad breakup. She then gained strength from her losses to write a new album, with songs consisting of both negative and positive lyrical content. Thus, the album is titled "''Subconscious''" because "''the songs wrote themselves subconsciously''". Samantha also expressed concern writing new songs because she wanted to satisfy her audience. She then started to work with Sebastian Morton again, but he got occupied by another project, so Samantha got in touch with junior high school friend Shane Drasin to produce the remainder of the album. Singles The first single was named "''Waves of Change''" was released on March 2, 2010. The single r ...

Home Studio
Home recording is the practice of recording sound in a private home instead of a professional recording studio. A studio set up for home recording is called a home studio or project studio. Home recording is widely practiced by voice actors, narrators, singers, musicians, podcast hosts, and documentary makers at all levels of success. The cost of professional audio equipment has dropped steadily as technology advances during the 21st century, while information about recording techniques has become easily available online. These trends have resulted in an increase in the popularity of home recording and a shift in the recording industry toward recording in the home studio. The COVID-19 pandemic and COVID-19 lockdowns resulted in a dramatic global increase in the number of remote workers in 2020, which is anticipated by experts to remain a permanent shift in the field of sound recording when the pandemic ends. Studio equipment Until the late 1970s, music could be recorded either on lo ...

Deep House
Deep house is a subgenre of house music that originated in the 1980s, initially fusing elements of Chicago house with the lush chords of 1980s jazz-funk and touches of soul music. Its origins are attributed to the early recordings of Larry Heard (aka Mr. Fingers), including his influential track "Can You Feel It". Characteristics Deep house is known for tempos typically from 110 to 125 bpm, muted basslines, spacious use of percussion elements (typically using a Roland TR-909 drum machine), soft keyboard sounds (pads), use of advanced chord structures, ambient mixes, and soulful vocals. Lyrics usually focus on positive/uplifting themes or more melancholic subjects akin to blues. The use of vocals persisted in deep house as new forms of house music often abandoned them, but as of 2019, this difference has largely disappeared. History Deep house was largely pioneered by Chicago producers such as Marshall Jefferson ( On the House) and Larry Heard ( Mr. Fingers) and with tracks s ...

2010 Singles
1 (one, unit, unity) is a number representing a single or the only entity. 1 is also a numerical digit and represents a single unit of counting or measurement. For example, a line segment of ''unit length'' is a line segment of length 1. In conventions of sign where zero is considered neither positive nor negative, 1 is the first and smallest positive integer. It is also sometimes considered the first of the infinite sequence of natural numbers, followed by  2, although by other definitions 1 is the second natural number, following  0. The fundamental mathematical property of 1 is to be a multiplicative identity, meaning that any number multiplied by 1 equals the same number. Most if not all properties of 1 can be deduced from this. In advanced mathematics, a multiplicative identity is often denoted 1, even if it is not a number. 1 is by convention not considered a prime number; this was not universally accepted until the mid-20th century. Additionally, 1 is th ...

Samantha James Songs
Samantha (or the alternatively Samanta) is primarily used as a feminine given name. It was recorded in England in 1633 in Newton Regis, Warwickshire. It was also recorded in the 18th century in New England, but its etymology is uncertain. Speculation (without evidence) has suggested an origin from the masculine given name Samuel and anthos, the Greek word for "flower".'' World Almanac'', 2009 edition pp. 697–698, Dr. Cleveland Kent Evans, Bellevue University One theory is that it was a feminine form of Samuel to which the already existing feminine name Anthea was added. "Samantha" remained a rare name until the 1873 publication of the first novel in a series by Marietta Holley, featuring the adventures of a lady named "Samantha", wife of Josiah Allen. The series led to the rise in the name's popularity, ranking among the top 1,000 names for girls in the United States from 1880, the earliest year for which records are available, to 1902. The name was out of fashion in the ...
