Stu Mackenzie
Stuart Douglas Mackenzie (born 26 October 1990) is an Australian musician best known as the frontman of rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. He serves as singer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist for the band and is recognized as its leader, a role he has filled since its formation in 2010. Mackenzie formed King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard as a casual band for his friends in the Melbourne music scene to play together in without needing to rehearse or practice. They have since recorded 27 studio albums. Under his leadership, they have come to be considered an important band of their generation, largely thanks to their cultivation of a devoted following through consistent touring and releases. Broderick Smith
Broderick Smith (17 February 1948 – 30 April 2023) was an English-born Australian multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and sometime actor. He was a member of 1970s bands Sundown, Carson, and The Dingoes. In the 1980s, he was part of Broderick Smith's Big Combo where he recorded and performed both solos and duos. He acted on stage in the 1973 Australian version of the rock opera, '' Tommy'', and in minor roles in the 1990s TV series ''Blue Heelers'', '' Snowy River: The McGregor Saga'', and '' State Coroner''. Smith was involved with the writing of some 200 songs and ran workshops on song writing, harmonica, and vocals. ''Eyes Like the Sky'' is the second studio album by Australian rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. It was released on 22 February 2013 on the label Flightless. Described as a "cult western audio book", the album is narrated and written by Broderick Smith, the frontman for the 1970s Australian rock group The Dingoes and the father of King Gizzard keyboardist Ambrose Kenny Smith. The story revolves around child soldiers, native Americans and gun fights, all set in the American frontier. Shock Records was an Australian independent record label, branded with the logo Shock or Shock Australia. Founded in 1988, it traded as Shock Records Pty. Ltd, and its publishing arm as Shock Music Publishing Pty. Ltd. Its most prominent sublabel was Permanent Records. ''Anglesea'' is the debut EP by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. It was released on 26 May 2011. The EP features the simple lyrical style and noisy arrangements found throughout many of King Gizzard's earliest songs. It was initially released on CD, and was not available digitally until the EPs inclusion on the ''Teenage Gizzard'' compilation, a collection of pre-''Willoughby's Beach'' tracks.
