Strong City is a city in Chase County, Kansas, Chase County, Kansas, United States. Originally known as Cottonwood Station, in 1881 it was renamed Strong City after William Barstow Strong, then vice-president and general manager, and later president of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. ''Strong'' is the second solo album by Swedish singer Anette Olzon, released on 10 September 2021 via Frontiers. According to Olzon, the album takes a heavier approach than her 2014 debut ''Shine'', inspired by bands such as Dimmu Borgir and In Flames. Also, encouraged by her husband Johan Husgafvel (who plays bass and sings growls on the album), she wrote lyrics expressing her views on issues such as wicked leaders and abusive bosses, which differed from the more introspective ''Shine''. The first single of the album, "Parasite", was released on 21 June 2021, together with the album's announcement. The second single, "Sick of You", came in 19 July. The title track was streamed on the day of the album's release. Strong School
Strong School is a school located at 69 Grand Ave. in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut, USA. It is an overflow school for district kindergartners and first graders. It has a student population of approximately 277 utilizing a site. Structures First building (1808–?) Nathaniel Graniss, an early area settler, felt there was need for a school in the area, and deeded land where a school was built in 1808. The building was renovated into a church in 1830, and school rooms were relegated to the basement. The church moved down the street to occupy a different building in 1864, and the building was once again utilized entirely as a school. The facility was then named after Theodore Dwight Woolsey. Strong is a town in Franklin County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,122 at the 2020 census. Strong is home to the annual Sandy River Festival. History The plantation was called Township No. 3, First Range North of Plymouth Claim, West of Kennebec River (or T3 R1 NPC WKR), then successively known as Middletown and Readstown. It was first settled in 1784 by William Read from Nobleboro. Readstown was incorporated on January 31, 1801, and named for Caleb Strong, a Founding Father of the United States and governor of Massachusetts. The Maine Republican Party was founded here on August 7, 1854. Set on a hilly intervale above a big bend in the Sandy River, the area provided fertile soil for agriculture. Fort Strong is a former U.S. Army Coast Artillery fort that occupied the northern third of Long Island (Massachusetts), Long Island in Boston Harbor. The island had a training camp during the American Civil War, and a gun battery was built there in the 1870s. The fort was built in 1893-1906 during the Board of Fortifications#Endicott Board, Endicott period of expansion in U.S. coast defense, and was part of the Coast Defenses of Boston, Coast (later Harbor) Defenses of Boston.
