''Still Cyco Punk After All These Years'' is the thirteenth studio album by the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released on September 7, 2018. This features re-recorded songs of Cyco Miko's 1996 debut album, ''Lost My Brain! (Once Again)''; it is a near-complete re-recording, since the only tracks from the original album not included are its last two tracks "Cyco Miko Wants You" and "Ain't Mess'n Around" (the latter, however, can be found on the '' Get Your Fight On!'' EP along with "Nothin' to Lose"), while "Sippin' from the Insanitea" was previously never released. The latter uses the same basic musical structure as "Cyco Miko Wants You", but with brand new lyrics and a different vocal melody. The album's title is a play on Suicidal Tendencies' 1993 album ''Still Cyco After All These Years'', which is also a collection of re-recorded and unreleased material. A re-recording is a recording produced following a new performance of a work of music. This is most commonly, but not exclusively, by a popular artist or group. It differs from a reissue, which involves a second or subsequent release of a previously-recorded piece of music. Re-recordings are often produced decades after the original recordings were released, usually under contract terms more favorable to the artists. Suicidal Tendencies is an American crossover thrash band formed in 1980 in Venice, Los Angeles, Venice in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Mike Muir. Muir is the only remaining original member of the band. Along with Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, and Stormtroopers of Death, the band is often credited as one of "the fathers of crossover thrash". Hardcore Punk
Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Its roots can be traced to earlier punk scenes in San Francisco and Southern California which arose as a reaction against the still predominant hippie cultural climate of the time. ''Get Your Fight On!'' is the second EP by the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, which was released on March 9, 2018. The EP, which preceded the band's then-upcoming thirteenth studio album ''Still Cyco Punk After All These Years'' by six months, is their first since 1998's ''Six the Hard Way'', while its release marks a lineup of Suicidal Tendencies only the second in the band's history to record more than one record together. Mike Muir
Michael Allen Muir (born March 14, 1963) is an American singer who is the lead vocalist and the only sole continuous member of Los Angeles-based bands Suicidal Tendencies, Los Cycos, and Infectious Grooves. He has also released several solo albums under his nickname Cyco Miko. Muir's trademark is wearing bandanas, jerseys with the number 13, and hats with block-style letters that read "suicidal". ''Lost My Brain! (Once Again)'' is the first of two solo albums from Mike "Cyco Miko" Muir – lead singer of Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious Grooves. It was released in January 1996 on the Epic Records label. 2001 saw the release of a follow-up album, ''Schizophrenic Born Again Problem Child''. Musically, it is more akin to the hardcore punk of Suicidal Tendencies albums to come – namely ''Freedumb'' in 1999 – rather than of old, and certainly unlike the funk metal of Infectious Grooves, in spite of the fact that many of the musicians performed for both bands. Dave Lombardo
David Lombardo (born February 16, 1965) is a Cuban-American drummer, best known as a co-founding member of American thrash metal band Slayer. He is currently playing drums with Testament, Fantômas, Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Cross, Mr. Bungle, and the Misfits. Lombardo previously played drums on nine Slayer albums, including '' Reign in Blood'' (1986) and '' Christ Illusion'' (2006).
