Get Your Fight On!
''Get Your Fight On!'' is the second Extended play, EP by the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, which was released on March 9, 2018. The EP, which preceded the band's then-upcoming thirteenth studio album ''Still Cyco Punk After All These Years'' by six months, is their first since 1998's ''Six the Hard Way'', while its release marks a lineup of Suicidal Tendencies only the second in the band's history to record more than one record together. However, guitarist Jeff Pogan would leave the band shortly after its release. In addition to four new songs (including a cover of the Stooges' "I Got a Right"), the EP contains re-recordings of "Nothing to Lose" and "Ain't Mess'n Around" – both taken from Mike Muir, Cyco Miko's 1996 solo album ''Lost My Brain! (Once Again)'' – and four variations of "Get Your Fight On!", including the album version which can be found on ''World Gone Mad''. World Gone Mad
''World Gone Mad'' is the thirteenth studio album by the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released on September 30, 2016. It is the band's first studio album (and the only album of original material) to feature Dave Lombardo on drums, Ra Díaz on bass, and Jeff Pogan on rhythm guitar. Vocalist Mike Muir had stated that ''World Gone Mad'' could have been Suicidal Tendencies' final studio album, although he later retracted that statement. Background Suicidal Tendencies released their eleventh studio album, titled '' 13'', in 2013, and it received mixed to positive reviews by critics. By the time of its release, it was rumored that ''13'' was the first of three albums that Suicidal Tendencies had finished in 2011. Guitarist Dean Pleasants commented, "''13'' was some of the stuff that Mike mentioned in that. But yeah, I think if there's something else that comes out in the future it will definitely be us writing again. But some of the songs, as time changes you ch ... Still Cyco Punk After All These Years
''Still Cyco Punk After All These Years'' is the fourteenth studio album by the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released on September 7, 2018. This features re-recorded songs of Cyco Miko's 1996 debut album, '' Lost My Brain! (Once Again)''; it is a near-complete re-recording, since the only tracks from the original album not included are its last two tracks "Cyco Miko Wants You" and "Ain't Mess'n Around" (the latter, however, can be found on the ''Get Your Fight On!'' EP along with "Nothin' to Lose"), while "Sippin' from the Insanitea" was previously never released. The latter uses the same basic musical structure as "Cyco Miko Wants You", but with brand new lyrics and a different vocal melody. The album's title is a play on Suicidal Tendencies' 1993 album '' Still Cyco After All These Years'', which is also a collection of re-recorded and unreleased material. ''Still Cyco Punk After All These Years'' is also the last Suicidal Tendencies album with rhythm ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Extended Play
An extended play (EP) is a Sound recording and reproduction, musical recording that contains more tracks than a Single (music), single but fewer than an album. Contemporary EPs generally contain up to eight tracks and have a playing time of 15 to 30 minutes. An EP is usually less cohesive than an album and more "non-committal". An extended play (EP) originally referred to a specific type of 45 revolutions per minute, rpm phonograph record other than 78 rpm standard play (SP) and 33 rpm LP record, long play (LP), but , also applies to mid-length Compact disc, CDs and Music download, downloads. EPs are considered "less expensive and less time-consuming" for an artist to produce than an album, and have long been popular with punk and indie bands. In K-pop and J-pop, they are usually referred to as Mini-LP, mini-albums. Background History EPs were released in various sizes in different eras. The earliest multi-track records, issued around 1919 by Grey Gull Records, were Vertic ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Crossover Thrash
Crossover thrash (often abbreviated to crossover) is a fusion genre of thrash metal and hardcore punk. The genre emerged in the mid-1980s, when hardcore punk bands, such as Suicidal Tendencies, Cryptic Slaughter, Corrosion of Conformity and Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, began to incorporate the influence of thrash metal. At this time, the genre was particularly prominent in the New York hardcore scene, where groups including Agnostic Front, Leeway (band), Leeway, Cro-Mags and Stormtroopers of Death were widely influential. The genre largely declined in popularity by the 1990s; however, its influence developed the prominent metalcore genre. Since the 2000s, crossover thrash has experienced a number of underground revivals, which have produced notable acts including Municipal Waste (band), Municipal Waste, Trash Talk (band), Trash Talk, Power Trip (band), Power Trip and Drain (punk band), Drain. Etymology The term "thrash" originated as a way of referring to hardcore punk, seen on t ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

The Stooges
The Stooges or Iggy and the Stooges, originally billed as the Psychedelic Stooges, were an American rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1967 by singer Iggy Pop, guitarist Ron Asheton, drummer Scott Asheton, and bassist Dave Alexander. Initially playing a raw, primitive style of rock and roll, the band sold few records in their original incarnation and gained a reputation for their confrontational performances, which often involved acts of self-mutilation by Iggy Pop. After releasing two albums – '' The Stooges'' (1969) and '' Fun House'' (1970) – the group disbanded briefly, and reformed with an altered lineup (with Ron Asheton replacing Dave Alexander on bass and James Williamson taking up guitar) to release a third album, '' Raw Power'' (1973), before breaking up again in 1974. The band reunited in 2003 with Ron Asheton moving back to guitar and Mike Watt on bass, and the addition of saxophonist Steve Mackay, who had played saxophone on ''Fun House''. Ron ... Lost My Brain! (Once Again)
''Lost My Brain! (Once Again)'' is the first of two solo albums from Mike "Cyco Miko" Muir – lead singer of Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious Grooves. It was released in January 1996 on the Epic Records label. 2001 saw the release of a follow-up album, ''Schizophrenic Born Again Problem Child''. Musically, it is more akin to the hardcore punk of Suicidal Tendencies albums to come – namely '' Freedumb'' in 1999 – rather than of old, and certainly unlike the funk metal of Infectious Grooves, in spite of the fact that many of the musicians performed for both bands. The title track later appeared, with changed lyrics, under the name "Big Fat Baby" on the Suicidal Records compilation, '' Friends & Family, Vol. 1'' in 1997. All the songs from this album (except "Cyco Miko Wants You" and "Ain't Mess'n Around") were re-recorded for Suicidal Tendencies' 2018 album ''Still Cyco Punk After All These Years''.
