Steven Bochco
Steven Ronald Bochco (December 16, 1943 – April 1, 2018) was an American television writer and producer. He developed a number of television series, mostly crime dramas, including '' Hill Street Blues''; ''L.A. Law''; '' Doogie Howser, M.D.''; ''Cop Rock''; and ''NYPD Blue''. Early life Bochco was born to a Jewish family in New York City, the son of Mimi, a painter, and Rudolph Bochco, a concert violinist and Polish immigrant. He was educated in Manhattan at the High School of Music and Art. His elder sister is actress Joanna Frank. In 1961, he enrolled at Carnegie Institute of Technology (now known as Carnegie Mellon University after merging with the Mellon Institute in 1967) in Pittsburgh to study playwriting and theater. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Theater in 1966, having also had an MCA Writing Fellowship. The following is an episode list for the crime fiction television series ''Columbo''. After two Television pilot, pilot episodes, the show originally aired on NBC from 1971 to 1978 as one of the rotating programs of ''The NBC Mystery Movie''. ''Columbo'' then aired on American Broadcasting Company, ABC as part of ''The ABC Mystery Movie'' from 1989 to 1990 and less frequently starting in late 1990. The last installment was broadcast in 2003. Because the ''Columbo'' episodes from late 1990 to 2003 aired infrequently, different DVD sets have been released around the world. In DVD region code, Region 2 and 4, all episodes have now been released as 10 seasons. Seasons 8-9 reflect the two seasons aired as part of ''The ABC Mystery Movie'', and the 10th season covers the last 14 episodes from "Columbo Goes to College" (1990) to the series finale, "Columbo Likes the Nightlife" (2003). ''Griff'' is an American crime drama starring Lorne Greene and Ben Murphy, which aired on ABC from September 29, 1973, to January 4, 1974. Synopsis Lorne Greene portrayed Wade "Griff" Griffin, a former police officer who becomes a private detective. Ben Murphy plays Greene's 31-year-old partner, S. Michael "Mike" Murdock. Ben Murphy (born March 6, 1942) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Kid Curry in the ABC television series '' Alias Smith and Jones''. Early life Murphy was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Benjamin R. Castleberry and Nadine nee Steele. His mother remarried in 1949 to Patrick Henry Murphy.
