Stephen O’Shaughnessy
Stephen O'Shaughnessy is a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Lucan Sarsfields club and at senior level for the Dublin county team. Inter-county O'Shaughnessy made his debut for Dublin in 2005. He proved an important asset to the Dublin team in the absence of former Dublin captain, Paddy Christie, who was out due to injury. O'Shaughnessy met the same fate when he too had to drop out of the championship due to a shoulder injury. However, he returned to play in the Leinster final and All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Tyrone. He was nominated for an All-Star later that year. Due to a recurrence of a shoulder injury O'Shaughnessy missed the entire 2006 league campaign. He was expected to return to the Dublin side after Dublin's first championship match against Longford, although he did not return until Dublin's victory in the 2006 Leinster Senior Football Championship final against Offaly. Lucan Sarsfields
Lucan Sarsfields ( Irish: ''Sáirséalaigh Leamhcáin'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lucan, Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 1886, Sarsfields were one of 16 teams which contested the Dublin Senior Championship in 1887. They were also involved in the Senior Championship of 1892, and the club has fielded Gaelic football, hurling and camogie teams ever since. History Early years Lucan won the Intermediate Football League in the 1904–05 season. It is reported that they did this with the help of five players from France. The story goes that in 1902 a team call Balbriggan Wanderers won the Intermediate League and then for some reason or other went out of existence in 1904. 2008 O'Byrne Cup
The 2008 O'Byrne Cup was a Gaelic football competition played by the teams of Leinster GAA. The competition differs from the Leinster Senior Football Championship as it also features further education colleges and the winning team does not progress to another tournament at All-Ireland level. Last years winners of the O'Byrne Cup were Dublin. The first game was between defending champions Dublin and Wicklow, Dublin won the game comfortably. Leinster Senior Football Championship
The Leinster Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Leinster Championship and shortened to Leinster SFC, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Leinster GAA, Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). A hamstring () is any one of the three posterior thigh muscles in human anatomy between the hip and the knee: from medial to lateral, the semimembranosus, semitendinosus and biceps femoris. O'Connor Park
O'Connor Park () is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA stadium in Tullamore, County Offaly, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is one of the principal grounds of the Offaly GAA Gaelic football and hurling teams. It is known for sponsorship reasons as Glenisk O’Connor Park. The ground was opened in 1934, to replace Ballyduff Park, and currently has a capacity of 18,000.
