Steve Edwards (American Football)
Steven Edwards (born February 20, 1979) is a former American football guard. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at UCF. Edwards was also a member of the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens and California Redwoods. Early life Edwards was born and raised on the southside of Chicago in the Beverly neighborhood. Edwards played grade school ball at St. Barnabas Elementary, went on to play high school football at Mount Carmel High School (Chicago), and was starting tackle on the undefeated 1996 Illinois State Champions team. That team ranked number three in the nation according to USA Today. Philadelphia Eagles Edwards signed with the Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent in the 2002 NFL Draft. Edwards would go on to make the practice squad with the Eagles. Edwards spent several weeks on the Eagles practice squad before signing on to the Chicago Bears active roster. High school career Edwards attended Miami Senior High School, where he had a very successful career and was named Florida Mr. Basketball twice: in his junior year, when he averaged 23.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists, and in his senior year, when his averages were 18.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists. Edwards won 2 state championships (1990 and 1991) and was a runner-up in the 1992 tournament with Miami Senior. Stephen James Edwards (born 23 June 1951) is a former English cricketer. Edwards was a right-handed batsman who bowled both slow left-arm orthodox and left-arm medium pace. He was born in Highgate, Middlesex. Edwards made his debut for Buckinghamshire in the 1985 Minor Counties Championship against the Somerset Second XI. Edwards played Minor counties cricket for Buckinghamshire from 1985 to 1992, which included 33 Minor Counties Championship matches and 6 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. ''Showdown'' (also known as ''American Karate Tiger'') is a 1993 action/martial arts film directed by Robert Radler. The film stars Billy Blanks, Kenn Scott, Christine Taylor, Ken McLeod, Patrick Kilpatrick, and Brion James. The movie is reminiscent of 1984's ''The Karate Kid''. Elf was an American rock band founded in 1967 by singer and bassist Ronnie James Dio, keyboardist Doug Thaler, drummer Gary Driscoll, and guitarists Nick Pantas and David Feinstein (Dio's cousin). The band was originally called the Electric Elves, but was shortened to the Elves in 1968 and finally Elf in 1972. Elf disbanded in 1975 after recording three albums and after most of the lineup had been absorbed into the newly formed Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. History The band was formed in 1967 when the members of Ronnie Dio and the Prophets transformed themselves into the Electric Elves and added a keyboard player, Doug Thaler.
