Stephen Cox (writer)
Stephen L. Cox (born January 26, 1966) is an American freelance writer. He is the author of more than twenty books specializing in popular culture, film and television, including The Three Stooges, '' I Dream of Jeannie'', ''The Munsters'', ''The Addams Family'' and ''The Beverly Hillbillies''. He is best known for his 1989 tribute to '' The Wizard of Oz'' entitled '' The Munchkins Remember''. Cox is a 1988 graduate of Park University. Publications Cox's 2006 coffee-table biography of Three Stooges member Larry Fine, entitled ''One Fine Stooge: Larry Fine's Frizzy Life in Pictures'', has received acclaim from fans of the enduring comedy team. Culling materials from Fine's personal archives, including hundreds of unpublished photographs, the project remains the definitive account of the middle Stooge. ''Biography'' is an American documentary television series and media franchise created in the 1960s by David L. Wolper and owned by A&E Networks since 1987. Each episode depicts the life of a notable person with narration, on-camera interviews, photographs, and stock footage. The show originally ran in syndication in 1962–1964, and in 1979, on A&E from 1987 to 2006, and on The Biography Channel (later Bio, now FYI) from 2006 to 2012. After a five-year hiatus, the franchise was relaunched in 2017. Watson-Guptill is an American publisher of instructional books in the arts. The company was founded in 1937 by Ernest Watson, Ralph Reinhold, and Arthur L. Guptill. They also published the magazine ''American Artist''. Their headquarters are at 1745 Broadway, New York City, Random House Tower. Billboard Publications acquired Watson-Guptill in 1962. Cumberland ( ) is a historic counties of England, historic county in the far North West England. It covers part of the Lake District as well as the north Pennines and Solway Firth coast. Cumberland had an administrative function from the 12th century until 1974. Cumberland House
Cumberland House was a mansion on the south side of Pall Mall in London, England. It was built in the 1760s by Matthew Brettingham for Prince Edward, Duke of York and Albany and was originally called York House. The Duke of York died in 1767 aged just twenty eight and the house was taken over by Prince Henry, Duke of Cumberland and Strathearn, whose name it has retained. Brettingham's house was in a late Palladian style. It was seven bays wide with three main storeys plus basement and attics and was built of brick with stone dressings. The Duke of Cumberland made various alterations. He built a projecting west wing on the site of a neighbouring house that he purchased and added a pair of lodges flanking the forecourt, probably all to designs by Robert Adam.
