Stepan Falkovsky
Stepan Falkovsky ( be, Сцяпан Мікалаевіч Фалькоўскі, Sciapan Mikałajevič Falkoŭski; born 18 December 1996) is a Belarusian professional ice hockey defenceman playing with the SKA Saint Petersburg organization of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was selected by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round (186th overall) at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Falkovsky played in his native Belarus, as a youth with Yunost Minsk. He made his professional debut as a 16-year-old in the Vysshaya Liga in 2013. In moving to North America to continue his development at a higher level, Falkovsky played major junior with the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Falkovsky was selected in the seventh round (186th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. 2016–17 ECHL Season
The 2016–17 ECHL season was the 29th season of the ECHL. The regular season schedule ran from October 14, 2016 to April 9, 2017, with the Kelly Cup playoffs following. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. Players who gain an assist will get one point added to their player statistics. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Manchester Monarchs (ECHL)
The Manchester Monarchs were a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL which began play in the 2015–16 season. Based in Manchester, New Hampshire, and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings, the team played its home games at the SNHU Arena. The Monarchs replaced the American Hockey League team of the same name, which played from 2001 until 2015, after which they moved to Ontario, California, and became the Ontario Reign. Allen Americans
The Allen Americans are a professional ice hockey team headquartered at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, which currently plays in the ECHL. The team was founded in 2009 in the Central Hockey League (CHL) where they played for five seasons, winning the Ray Miron President's Cup twice.
