Svendborg Municipality () is a ''Municipalities of Denmark, kommune'' in the Region of Southern Denmark on the southeast coast of the island of Funen, as well as on the islands of Drejø, Hjortø, Skarø, Thurø, and Tåsinge off Funen's southeastern shores in south-central Denmark. Kenneth Andersen
Kenneth Andersen (born 23 October 1967) is a Danish football manager. Career Andersen was the manager of various FC Midtjylland youth teams for 13 years before succeeding Jess Thorup in October 2018 as head coach of the club. From 2001 to 2004 he managed the lower league club Billund iF. On 19 August 2019 he resigned as manager of FC Midtjylland. The club also announced, that Andersen would continue at the club, working with the academy. On 13 July 2023 it was confirmed, that Andersen had left Midtjylland in favor of partner club C.D. Region Of Southern Denmark
The Region of Southern Denmark (, ; , ; ) is an administrative region of Denmark established on Monday 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the number of municipalities from 270 ( 271 before 2006) before 1 January 2007 to 98. The reform diminished the power of the regional level dramatically in favor of the local level and the central government in Copenhagen. The Region of Southern Denmark has 22 municipalities. The reform was implemented in Denmark on 1 January 2007, although the merger of the Funish municipalities of Ærøskøbing and Marstal, being a part of the reform, was given the go-ahead to be implemented on Sunday 1 January 2006, one year before the main reform. Funen (, ), is the third-largest List of islands of Denmark, island of Denmark, after Zealand and North Jutlandic Island, Vendsyssel-Thy, with an area of .
