Sten Selander
Sten Selander (1 July 1891 – 8 April 1957) was a Swedish writer and scientist. He made his literary debut in 1916, and was awarded the Dobloug Prize in 1952. Dalarö Fortress
Dalarö fortress is a fortification located just south of Dalarö. The current structure was built by Charles X Gustav of Sweden in 1656. History It was built to replace an old structure from 1623. In 1683 the fortress was renovated by Erik Dahlbergh and the renovations were completed in 1698. The fortress has never been under siege. Russian forces avoided it in 1719. It was decommissioned by the military in 1854. Today the building is a museum and it contains a restaurant. The Dobloug Prize ( sv, Doblougska priset, no, Doblougprisen) is a literature prize awarded for Swedish and Norwegian fiction. The prize is named after Norwegian businessman and philanthropist Birger Dobloug (1881–1944) pursuant to his bequest. The prize sum is 4 * 150,000 Swedish crowns (2011). The Swedish Academy ( sv, Svenska Akademien), founded in 1786 by King Gustav III, is one of the Royal Academies of Sweden. Its 18 members, who are elected for life, comprise the highest Swedish language authority. During four expeditions to Central Asia, he made the Transhimalaya known in the West and located sources of the Brahmaputra, Indus and Sutlej Rivers. He also mapped lake Lop Nur, and the remains of cities, grave sites and the Great Wall of China in the deserts of the Tarim Basin. Carl Olof "Olle" Hedberg (31 May 1899, Norrköping, Sweden – 20 September 1974, Verveln, Östergötland, Sweden) was a Swedish author. Hedberg is known as a probing satirist of the middle class and conventional world in general. His first novel, ''Rymmare och fasttagare'' (''Prisoner's base''), was published in 1930, and from then on would write a novel every year for the next several decades. His works of the 1940s entail a search for religious and moral values. ''Bekänna färg'' (''Show one’s hand''), published in 1947, is considered to be one of his most important novels from this period. His works do not aspire to a philosophical greatness.
