James Richard Steinman (November 1, 1947 – April 19, 2021) was an American composer, lyricist and record producer. He also worked as an arranger, pianist, and singer. His work included songs in the adult contemporary, rock, dance, pop, musical theater, and film score genres. He wrote albums for Bonnie Tyler and Meat Loaf, including ''Bat Out of Hell'' (one of the best-selling albums in history), and also wrote and produced ''Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell'' and Tyler's ''Faster Than the Speed of Night''. David Steinman
David Steinman is an environmentalist, journalist, consumer health advocate, publisher and author. He has published five books focusing largely on environmental, dietary, and consumer safety issues, including ''Diet for a Poisoned Planet'' in 1990. He is the founder of the publishing company, Freedom Press, which publishes ''Healthy Living Magazine'', and he also operated an online radio show entitled, Green Patriot Radio. Education Steinman earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University before earning a Master's degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. Career In 1985 while writing for ''LA Weekly'', David Steinman learned that fish in the Santa Monica Bay were tainted with DDT and PCBs. He organized a research team from Loma Linda University that found levels of DDT and PCBs were elevated in the blood of local sport fishermen (including himself). Eliezer Steinman
Eliezer Steinman (; born 1892, died 7 August 1970) was a Russian-born Israeli writer, journalist and editor. Biography Steinman was born in 1892 in Obodówka, part of the Sobański estate, a village in the Podolia Governorate of the Russian Empire, later part of Poland after World War I, now Obodivka in Ukraine. In his youth, while studying in Chişinău to obtain semikhah to become a rabbi, he began to publish his first stories. Starting in 1910, his works, in Yiddish and Hebrew, began to appear in newspapers such as ''"Rashaphim"'', ''"Ha-Shiluach"'' and ''" Ha-Tsefirah"'' and he earned a living by teaching. During those years, he became associated with David Frischmann and Hayim Nahman Bialik, who worked to obtain his release from service in the Imperial Russian Army. Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman (), also Shtainman or Steinman (November 3, 1914 – December 12, 2017), was a Haredi rabbi in Bnei Brak, Israel. Following the death of Yosef Shalom Elyashiv in 2012, he was widely regarded as the Gadol HaDor (Leader of the Generation), the leader of the non-Hasidic Lithuanian Haredi Jewish world. Along with several other rabbis, Shteinman is credited with reviving and expanding the appeal of European-style yeshivas in Israel.
