Stacey Doubell (born 23 March 1987) is a South African retired badminton player. Career In 2011, she won gold medal in women's doubles event, silver medal in mixed team event and bronze medals in women's singles and mixed doubles events at the African Games in Maputo, Mozambique. In 2015, she became the runner-up of South Africa International tournament in women's doubles event. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racket (sports equipment), racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net (device), net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side. Grace Gabriel
Grace Gabriel Ofodile (born 25 June 1988) is a Nigerian badminton player. She won the women's singles title at the 2012 and 2013 African Championships. Gabriel also won the women's singles silver medal at the 2011 and 2015 African Games. Career She won the silver medal in the women's singles at the 2011 All-Africa Games. She became the runner-up in the women's singles event at the 2014 African Badminton Championships. She won second place at the 2015 All Africa Games. In September 2013, it was reported that she was one of the 14 players selected for the Road to Rio Program, a program that aimed to help African badminton players to compete at the 2016 Olympic Games. She studied at Fontys University of Applied Sciences and lives in the Netherlands. Grace Daniel
Grace Kubi Daniel (born 24 February 1984) is a Nigerian badminton player. She defeated South Africa's Michelle Claire Edwards for the gold medal in the women's singles, and also, teamed up with Susan Ideh for a silver in the doubles at the 2007 All-Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria. Daniel qualified for the women's singles at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, after she was ranked eighty-ninth in the world, and awarded a continental spot for Africa by the Badminton World Federation. She lost the first preliminary round match to Czech Republic's Kristina Ludíková, with a score of 13–21 and 8–21. Georgie Cupidon
Georgie Winsley Cupidon (born November 10, 1981) is a badminton player from Seychelles. He competed in badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the mixed doubles with Juliette Ah-Wan and they were defeated in the first round by Robert Mateusiak and Nadieżda Kostiuczyk.
