SsangYong Actyon
The SsangYong Actyon (Korean: 쌍용 액티언) is a compact SUV built by the South Korean automobile manufacturer SsangYong Motor from 2005 to 2011 for the first generation, and 2012 to 2018 for the second. It was available either as an SUV (Actyon) or as a pick-up truck (Actyon Sports). They replaced the SsangYong Musso and Musso Sports. The name is an amalgam of the words "action" and "young". Overview Both are available 2WD or 4WD systems and a third generation common rail VGT turbo diesel engine, or a 2.3 litre overhead cam four cylinder petrol engine. The vehicle also comes with a double wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear end in addition to ESP (Electronic Stability Program). The name SsangYong appeared in 1988, after its acquisition by the chaebol SsangYong Group. SsangYong Motor was then acquired by Daewoo Motors, SAIC Motor, and then Mahindra & Mahindra. In 2022, the company was acquired by the KG Group. The SsangYong name is planned to be dropped by the company in March 2023. Double Wishbone Suspension
A double wishbone suspension is an independent suspension design for automobiles using two (occasionally parallel) wishbone-shaped arms to locate the wheel. Each wishbone or arm has two mounting points to the chassis and one joint at the knuckle. The shock absorber and coil spring mount to the wishbones to control vertical movement. Double wishbone designs allow the engineer to carefully control the motion of the wheel throughout suspension travel, controlling such parameters as camber angle, caster angle, toe pattern, roll center height, scrub radius, scuff and more. Drivetrain System International (abbreviated as DSI), and previously operating as BorgWarner Australia, BTR, and ION is an Australian drivetrain constructor and engineering consultancy based in Scoresby, Victoria. Power door locks (also known as electric door locks or central locking) allow the driver or front passenger to simultaneously lock or unlock all the doors of an automobile or truck, by pressing a button or flipping a switch.
