Squash at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held at the Oxenford Studios on the Gold Coast, Australia from April 5 to 15. A total of five events were scheduled to be held, two each for men and women and a mixed doubles event. It was the sixth appearance of squash in the commonwealth games. Village Roadshow Studios are a set of film studios located in Oxenford, Queensland, Oxenford, Gold Coast, Queensland, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The studios are owned by Village Roadshow and consist of nine sound stages as well as a range of other production facilities. Tesni Murphy (née Evans; born 15 October 1992) is a professional squash player who represents Wales and is a five-time Welsh national squash champion. She reached a career-high PSA ranking of World No.9 in November 2018, becoming the highest-ranked Welsh woman of all time and the first to break into the Top 10. Rachael Margaret Grinham (born 22 January 1977 in Toowoomba, Queensland) is an Australian former professional squash player. She won the World Open in 2007, and the British Open in 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2009. She reached the World No. 1 ranking in August 2004 and held it for 16 consecutive months.
