Thoroughbred
The Thoroughbred is a list of horse breeds, horse breed developed for Thoroughbred racing, horse racing. João Moreira (jockey)
João Moreira (born September 26, 1983), is a Brazilian jockey with extensive experience riding in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and Japan. In 2017, Andrew Harding of the Hong Kong Jockey Club described him by saying, "You would have to say he was one of Brazil's greatest sporting exports. Joao is becoming to global racing what Pele or Ronaldo are to football." Early years João Henrique Almansa Moreira grew up in Curitiba, Brazil in the poor neighborhood of Pinhais. He was the youngest of eight children. His family was very poor, and his father died of stomach cancer when Moreira was seven. Ka Ying Rising (foaled 3 September 2020), previously named Mr Express, is a champion Thoroughbred racehorse born in New Zealand and trained in Hong Kong. He is notable for winning multiple Group One, Group 1 races. He was bred by Fraser Auret in Marton, New Zealand, Marton in the Rangitikei District, Rangitikei district of the Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand's North Island. Auret had trained the dam Missy Moo to win five races. Missy Moo was served by the Windsor Park Stud stallion Shamexpress. He was sold to clients of the trainer David A. Hayes, David Hayes and exported to Australia on 28 March 2023. After trialing he was sent to Hong Kong to commence his racing career. James Hugh Bowman is an Australian Horse racing, thoroughbred racing jockey. Based in Sydney, Bowman has won the New South Wales Metropolitan Jockey Premiership four times (2008/09, 2011/12, 2014/15, 2016/17) and has ridden 100 Group One, Group 1 winners. He was the jockey for Australian champion mare Winx (horse), Winx from 2014 through to her retirement in 2019. In 2017, Bowman won the Longines World’s Best Jockey award presented by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities. John Size
John Size (born 10 July 1954) is one of the most successful racehorse trainers in Hong Kong history and was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall Of Fame in 2018. After a successful career in his native Australia, Size arrived in Hong Kong for the 2001-02 season with a reputation for rejuvenating horses set back by illness or injury and for his ability to mould and develop young horses from the beginning of their careers. In his first season, he trained 58 winners to become only the second trainer ever to win the championship title in his first season. Stéphane Pasquier (born 17 January 1978 in Paris) is a French flat racing jockey. In October 2006, he won the 85th Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. He began as an apprentice for the trainer Robert Collet, and rode in his first race on 6 December 1994, on Raspoutine at Saint-Cloud Racecourse. His first victory was in his second race, riding Floris at Amiens racecourse on 9 September 1995. He is a turbulent and strong character, and confesses to have lost his way in 1997, needing guidance from Robert Collet to help him back. Pasquier won his first Listed Race in 1999, then his first Group 3 race in May 2001, riding Acceleration in the Prix Corrida.
