Sportsline is a sports news magazine broadcast on the United Kingdom rolling news channel '' Sky News''. The programme is broadcast on weekends from 19:30–20:00 (UK) following ''Sky News''. The programme may be pre-empted by live coverage of ongoing events if this is required. The programme is usually fronted by one of the channel's sports reporters, or a presenter from ''Sky Sports News''. 1080p (1920×1080 progressively displayed pixels; also known as Full HD or FHD, and BT.709) is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes characterized by 1,920 pixels displayed across the screen horizontally and 1,080 pixels down the screen vertically; the ''p'' stands for progressive scan, ''i.e.'' non-interlaced. Sky Campus
Sky Studios (also known as Sky Campus) is the headquarters of satellite broadcaster Sky, and home to much of their programming output. The Isleworth campus consists of nine buildings plus ancillary structures, with three of those buildings containing television studios. The site is also a playout centre for many of Sky's channels. There are ten conventional television studios on site, alongside a number of galleries, purpose-built studios for news and sports news broadcasting, and post-production facilities. The multiple-camera setup, multiple-camera mode of production, multi-camera or simply multicam is a method of filmmaking and video production. Several cameras—either film or professional video cameras—are employed on the set and simultaneously record or broadcast a scene. It is often contrasted with a single-camera setup, which uses one camera. Description Generally, the two outer cameras shoot close-up shots or "crosses" of the two most active characters on the set at any given time, while the central camera or cameras shoot a wider master shot to capture the overall action and establish the geography of the room. Sky Sports News (SSN) is a British pay television, paid television sports news channel run by Sky Limited, Sky, a division of Comcast. History Since 1992, Sky Sports had broadcast sports news, initially a brief ''Football Update'' and later this was expanded into a 30-minute programme called ''Sky Sports Centre''. These programmes were generally broadcast on weekdays at 6pm and 10pm. Sky Sports News launched on 1 October 1998, the launch date of BSkyB's Digital Satellite service, and was BSkyB's first digital only channel. On 10 April 2000, Sky Sports News relaunched as Sky Sports.com TV, to tie with the launch of the SkySports.com website. The channel scrapped its ".com TV" look, and on 1 July 2001, Sky Sports News launched another graphics change. Sophy Ridge On Sunday
''Sophy Ridge on Sunday'' (also ''Sunday with Niall Paterson'') is a Sky News Sunday morning talk show fronted by Sophy Ridge. It was launched on 8 January 2017 and is currently broadcast on Sundays at 8:30am to 9:30am. It is followed by ''Sophy Ridge: The Take'', a half-hour programme reacting to the interviews from the main programme. Until July 2018, the programme was broadcast from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (with a 30-minute highlights show broadcast at 9:30 pm). It was broadcast at the same time as ITV's ''Peston on Sunday'', until both programmes were rescheduled. ''The Pledge'' is a panel discussion programme broadcast on Sky News. There are currently ten panellists, five of whom appear on the show each week. They discuss a variety of topics – there is no presenter, so each panellist champions a topic which is then debated. The programme was first announced in April 2016, and the first episode aired later that month, on 21 April 2016. The show is known for at times being controversial, and debates often get heated. ''The Pledge'' is currently not on air having been suspended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is currently unknown when or if the show will return. ''Sunrise'' was a British weekday breakfast programme which was broadcast on Sky News from 6 February 1989 to 13 October 2019. The programme was replaced by '' The Early Rundown'' (Monday-Friday), '' Kay Burley @ Breakfast'' (Monday-Thursday), and ''Sky News @ Breakfast'' (Friday-Sunday) in October 2019. ''Sky News Breakfast'' is a British breakfast television program that airs Saturday and Bank Holidays from 6–10am and Sunday from 6–8.30am on Sky News. The show launched on Friday, 18 October 2019 as the replacement for long-running breakfast show ''Sunrise''. Anna Jones is the programmes main presenter. Anna also hosts the Friday morning breakfast programme on the channel, Friday programmes are broadcast from Westminster rather than Osterley and use the same format as the Monday-Thursday programmes.
