Sports Boulevard
Sports Boulevard () is a under-construction large-scale linear park located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it was launched by King Salman on March 19, 2019. It is one of the largest projects in the world. It is supervised and operated by the Sports Boulevard Foundation with its chairman Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Background The project was launched in 2019 as a part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The Sports Boulevard was one of four initiatives established in 2019 along with King Salman Park, Riyadh Art and Green Riyadh with an estimated cost of $23 billion in government funding. Riyadh Art is a public art project in Saudi Arabia. It is one of Riyadh’s four megaprojects launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz in March 2019, and one of the largest public art projects in the world. It is overseen by the National Megaprojects Committee led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. King Salman Park
King Salman Park (KSP) () is an under construction 4102-acre large-scale public park and urban district in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was unveiled in 2019 as one of the public initiatives to increase the green space of Riyadh. Being built on the grounds of former Riyadh Air Base and covering most of King Abdulaziz District, it is slated to be the largest urban park in the world upon its opening in 2024. The park has lent its name to the nearby district of King Salman Neighborhood, both of which are named after King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the ruler of Saudi Arabia since 2015. The park under-construction lies on the grounds of the former King Salman Air Base, and would be seven times the size of London’s Hyde Park and five times the size of New York’s Central Park.
