Spokane Zephyr FC is a future professional women's soccer team based in Spokane, Washington, United States. It will be a member of the USL Super League, a new Division I league operated by the United Soccer League, and is scheduled to debut in August 2024. One Spokane Stadium is a multi-use stadium in downtown Spokane, Washington, United States. It is home to the professional soccer teams Spokane Velocity of USL League One and Spokane Zephyr FC of the USL Super League and USL W League, as well as Spokane Public Schools high school teams in several sports. Opened in September 2023, it succeeds Joe Albi Stadium, the city's football and soccer venue from 1950 through 2021. The stadium is located in the North Bank district of downtown alongside two other sports facilities: Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena to the southwest and The Podium to the south. Sarah Clark (soccer)
Sarah Grace Clark (born March 26, 1999) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Spokane Zephyr FC of the USL Super League. She previously played for the North Carolina Courage and Canberra United FC. She played college soccer for the Purdue Boilermakers and Virginia Cavaliers. Early life Clark was born in Durham, North Carolina, and grew up in Brighton, Michigan. She is the youngest of four children of Purdue University alumni Bill and Lori Clark. Her family often played pickup soccer while in North Carolina in the summer; her uncle Mike Clark played professionally for the Columbus Crew, and her brother, Will, later played for UNC Wilmington in college. McKenzie Weinert
McKenzie Weinert (born December 2, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Spokane Zephyr FC in the USL Super League, on loan from National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) club Seattle Reign FC. Collegiate career Weinert played for the Oregon State Beavers for four seasons. Having redshirted in 2017 and due to the extra year of eligibility granted to athletes in the 2020–21 academic year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Weinert transferred and played another two seasons for the Washington Huskies. Club career Weinert joined then-OL Reign as a replacement player in June 2023. She then signed for Australian club Melbourne Victory in September 2023. After a successful season in Australia, Seattle Reign FC brought back Weinert in February 2024.
