The South Bay Correctional Facility is a private state prison for men located in South Bay, Palm Beach County, Florida, which is operated by GEO Group under contract with the Florida Department of Corrections. This facility was opened in 1997 and has a maximum capacity of 1948 prisoners. In September 2012, a jury awarded a South Bay inmate a $1.2 million settlement for the loss of an eye during a fight with another inmate. South Bay, Florida
South Bay is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is the westernmost municipality in the South Florida metropolitan area. The population was 4,876 at the 2010 census. As of 2018, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 5,185. Sandra Lee "Sandee" Rozzo was a Pinellas Park, Florida, bartender who was shot to death in her driveway on July 5, 2003. Her abuser, Timothy "Tracey" Humphrey, and his wife Ashley Laney Humphrey, were convicted of her murder. Perpetrators Timothy Alvin "Tracey" Humphrey (born November 15, 1966) was Sandee Rozzo's coworker at the time of her murder. They had previously been in a brief, but volatile relationship. He had committed an assault on Rozzo and criminal proceedings were in progress. The two had originally met at an Ybor City, Florida nightclub in November 2001 where Humphrey worked as a doorman and Rozzo was a bartender.
