Ilya Sorokin
Ilya Igorevich Sorokin (; born 4 August 1995) is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). Sorokin was selected by the Islanders in the third round (78th overall) of the 2014 NHL entry draft. Playing career KHL (2012–2020) Sorokin played as a youth with local club Vympel Mezhdurechensk, before joining KHL club Metallurg Novokuznetsk as a 17-year old in 2012. He made his professional and KHL debut with Novokuznetsk during the following 2012–13 season, appearing in relief during a 8–6 defeat to Barys Astana on 7 January 2013. Anna Sorokin (, ; born January 23, 1991), also known as Anna Delvey, is a con artist and fraudster who posed as a wealthy heiress to access upper-class New York social and art scenes from 2013 to 2017. Born in the Soviet Union (now Russia), Delvey emigrated from Russia to Germany with her family at the age of 16 in 2007. In 2011, at the age of 20, Delvey left Germany to live in London and Paris. In 2013, Delvey relocated to New York City, where she interned for the French fashion magazine ''Purple''. Aleksandr "Sania" Sorokin (born 30 September 1981) is a Lithuanian long-distance runner who holds multiple world and European records. Ivan Sorokin
Ivan Lukich Sorokin ; 4 December 1884 – 3 November 1918) was a Russian military leader and participant in the Russo-Japanese War, World War I, and the Russian Civil War. He was Commander-in-Chief of the Red Army of the North Caucasus and Commander of the 11th Red Army. Working his way up through the ranks, he was eventually commissioned as an officer. Sorokin arranged the execution of his rival commander, Ivan Matveyev, on 7 October 1918. Following the execution, Sorokin established a reign of terror that demoralized the Red armies in the North Caucasus, which caused him to be declared a traitor on 27 October. Alexey Ivanovich Sorokin () (28 March 1922 – 4 March 2020) was a Soviet Fleet Admiral and member of the Congress of People's Deputies of the Soviet Union. Sorokin was born one of five children. His father, a veteran invalid of the Russian Civil War, died in 1933 and his brother, Seraphim, was reported as missing in action at the front near Moscow in March 1942. Sorokin joined the Red Army in 1941 and served as a mortar operator. He was promoted to lieutenant, commanding a mortar battery and fought during the liberation of Belarus and with the Baltic Front. After the war, Sorokin served as a political officer and studied at the Lenin Military-Political Academy between 1948 and 1952.
