Sonicflood (sometimes stylized as SONICFLOOd) is an American contemporary worship music band from Nashville, Tennessee, that has been touted as "The Fathers of the Modern Worship Movement." The group took the name "Sonicflood", a reference to a line in the Book of Revelation . They released their debut album at a time when such music was gaining commercial success in the Christian music industry. In turn, their success fed the contemporary worship music genre, expanding its appeal. Since their debut, Sonicflood has sold almost two million albums, and produced top worship hits (often as covers) including " I Could Sing of Your Love Forever", "Resonate", "Cry Holy" and "Here I am to Worship". In the early years of their existence, the group earned two Dove awards and three further nominations, and one Grammy nomination. Jeff Deyo (born November 5, 1969) is an American contemporary Christian music solo artist, professor, author, podcaster, songwriter and worship leader. He was the lead vocalist for Sonicflood with Gotee Records from its creation in 1999 through 2000, for their first two albums ''Sonicflood'' and ''Sonicpraise''. He subsequently released several solo and band albums. Founds wrote the song during his morning devotion, while reading the scriptures on his computer monitor and watching television. Jason Halbert (born June 3, 1974) is an American producer, music director, musician, engineer and songwriter. He has been Kelly Clarkson's music director since 2003, shortly after her ''American Idol'' win. He has also served as music director for Nick Carter, Clay Aiken, Justin Guarini in addition to touring as keyboardist for Paulina Rubio and Reba McEntire. Halbert began his music career as keyboardist for DC Talk in 1994. He was also a founding member of the band SonicFlood. "Counting Blue Cars (Tell Me Your Thoughts on God)" is a song by American alternative rock band Dishwalla from their 1995 A&M Records album ''Pet Your Friends''. Dishwalla is an American alternative rock band from Santa Barbara, California. Formed by vocalist J.R. Richards, guitarist Rodney Browning, and keyboardist Greg Kolanek, they were initially known as Life Talking and then Dish upon adding bassist Scot Alexander and drummer George Pendergast. Due to a cease-and-desist letter, the band settled on Dishwalla in late 1993. The Dishwalla name came from a Hindi term for a person providing satellite TV to a neighborhood (" dish" + walla).
