The Chakri dynasty is the current reigning dynasty of the Thailand, Kingdom of Thailand. The head of the house is the Monarchy of Thailand, king, who is head of state. The family has ruled Thailand since the founding of the Rattanakosin era and the city of Bangkok in 1782; following the end of Taksin's reign, when the capital of Siam shifted to Bangkok. The royal house was founded by Rama I, an Ayutthaya Kingdom, Ayutthaya military leader of Thai Chinese, Sino-Mon people, Mon descent. Princess Arunvadi (; 13 June 1857 - 26 August 1933) was a princess of Siam (later Thailand). She was a member of the Siamese royal family and a daughter of King Mongkut of Siam and Chao Chom Manda Run. Her mother was Chao Chom Manda Run Supanimitr (a daughter of Kratai Supanimitr and Cham Supanimitr). She was given the full name Phra Chao Borom Wong Ther Phra Ong Chao Arunvadi (). Mongkut (18 October 18041 October 1868) was the fourth Monarchy of Thailand, king of Siam from the Chakri dynasty, titled Rama IV. He reigned from 1851 until his death in 1868. The reign of Mongkut was marked by significant modernization initiatives and diplomatic engagements, which played pivotal roles in shaping Thailand's trajectory towards progress and international relations.
