Undertale Soundtrack
''Undertale Soundtrack'' is a soundtrack album by Toby Fox, released in 2015 for the video game ''Undertale''. Development The game's soundtrack was entirely composed by Toby Fox with FL Studio. A self-taught musician, he composed most of the tracks with little iteration; the game's main theme, "Undertale", was the only song to undergo multiple iterations in development. The soundtrack was inspired by music from Super Nintendo Entertainment System role-playing games—such as ''EarthBound'' and '' Live A Live''—bullet hell series '' Touhou Project'', the chiptune band Anamanaguchi, as well as the webcomic '' Homestuck'', for which Fox provided some of the music. Fox also stated that he tries to be inspired by all music he listens to, particularly those in video games. According to Fox, over 90% of the songs were composed specifically for the game. " Megalovania", the song used during the boss battle against Sans, had previously been used within ''Homestuck'' and in ... Snowy Cotinga
The snowy cotinga (''Carpodectes nitidus'') is a medium-sized species of passerine bird in the family Cotingidae. It is found in Central America where its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forests. The male is white and the female pale grey and both sexes are readily recognisable. Description The adult snowy cotinga is about long and is a plump bird with a smallish head. The male is very conspicuous and is entirely white, apart from a slight bluish-grey tinge on head and back. The upper parts of the female are pale brownish-grey with slightly darker wings bordered with white. There is a white ring round the eye and the underparts are greyish-white. In both sexes the beak is bluish-grey, and this distinguishes the birds from the otherwise similar yellow-billed cotinga (''Carpodectes antoniae''). The female might also be confused with the black-crowned tityra (''Tityra inquisitor'') or the masked tityra (''Tityra semi ... Western Snowy Plover
The western snowy plover (''Anarhynchus nivosus nivosus'') is a small wader in the plover bird family. They are currently federally listed under the U.S. Endangered Species Act as Threatened. Human activity, habitat loss and predation are the biggest contributors to population degradation. A recovery plan was approved under the US Fish and Wildlife Service in 2007. Recovery actions and monitoring are crucial for these vulnerable seabirds. Taxonomy The western snowy plover was originally described by American ornithologist John Cassin in 1858. Western snowy plover is a subspecies of the snowy plover (''Anarhynchus nivosus''), of the genus '' Anarhynchus'' (formerly ''Charadrius''). The species name ''nivosus'' comes from the Latin word 'niveus' meaning 'snowy'. The snowy plover was formerly considered conspecific with the Kentish plover of the Old World, but the two are now considered separate species. Snowy Sheathbill
The snowy sheathbill (''Chionis albus''), also known as the greater sheathbill, pale-faced sheathbill, and paddy, is one of two species of sheathbill. It is usually found on the ground. It is the only land bird native to the Antarctic continent. Taxonomy The snowy sheathbill was formally described in 1789 by the German naturalist Johann Friedrich Gmelin in his revised and expanded edition of Carl Linnaeus's ''Systema Naturae''. He placed it in a new genus ''Vaginalis'' and coined the binomial name ''Vaginalis alba''. Gmelin based his description on the "white sheath-bill" that had been described and illustrated in 1785 by the English ornithologist John Latham in his ''A General Synopsis of Birds ''. Latham erroneously believed that the bird was found in New Zealand. The type locality was designated as the Falkland Islands by Baron Bradford and Charles Chubb in 1912. The snowy sheathbill is now placed in the genus '' Chionis'' that was introduced in 1788 by the German natural ...
