Sisters of Suffocation is a death metal band, hailing from Eindhoven, Netherlands. The band was founded in 2014. Biography In April 2016, the band released a first single: ''Boundaries''. The first EP ''Brutal Queen'' from 2016 was released independently. In September 2016, the EP was reissued by Hammerheart Records. The first album was released in 2017 on Suburban Records. The band has performed at several festivals, including: Eindhoven Metal Meeting (NL), Stonehenge Festival (NL), Antwerp Metal Fest (Belgium), Gäfle Metal Fest (Sweden), Zwarte Cross (NL) and Lowlands (NL). Napalm Records
Napalm Records is an Austrian independent record label focused on heavy metal, hard rock and folk/folk rock/folk metal. Stonehenge Free Festival
The Stonehenge Free Festival was a British free festival from 1974 to 1984 held at the prehistoric monument Stonehenge in England during the month of June, and culminating with the summer solstice on or near 21 June. It emerged as the major free festival in the calendar after the violent suppression of the Windsor Free Festival in August 1974, with Wally Hope providing the impetus for its founding. By the 1980s, the festival had grown to be a major event, attracting up to 30,000 people in 1984. The festival attendees were branded as hippies by the British press. This, along with the open drug use and sale, contributed to the increase in restrictions on access to Stonehenge, and fences were erected around the stones in 1977. Zwarte Cross
The Zwarte Cross Festival is the largest paid festival in the Netherlands, and the largest motor event in the world. The 20th edition in 2016 numbered 220,000 visitors, the 26th edition in 2024 did count for 265,500 guests. The festival is a combination of motor cross, music, theatre and stunts. 'Zwarte Cross' literally means 'black cross'; it is a reference to the illegal motocross races in the 1960s.
