Joseph Leonard Sinnott (; October 16, 1926 June 25, 2020) was an American comic book artist. Working primarily as an inker, Sinnott is best known for his long stint on Marvel Comics' ''Fantastic Four'', from 1965 to 1981 (and briefly in the late 1980s), initially over the pencils of Jack Kirby. During his 60 years as a Marvel freelance artist and then remote worker salaried artist, Sinnott inked virtually every major title, with notable runs on ''The Avengers'', '' The Defenders'', and ''Thor''. In the mid-2000s, Stan Lee cited Sinnott as the company's most in-demand inker, saying jocularly, " ncilers used to hurl all sorts of dire threats at me if I didn't make certain that Joe, and only Joe, inked their pages. Lee Sinnott
Lee Sinnott (born 12 July 1965) is an English professional football manager and former player who was most recently manager of Gainsborough Trinity. As a player, he was a defender for Walsall, Watford, Bradford City, Crystal Palace, Huddersfield Town, Oldham Athletic and Scarborough. His biggest impact was at Bradford City, where he stayed for five years over two spells, making over 200 appearances. He made 505 appearances in the English Football League, and 653 appearances in all competitions. He played in the 1984 FA Cup Final for Watford, taking home a runners-up medal. As manager of Farsley Celtic between 2003 and 2007, he won promotion three times in four seasons to take the club from the Northern Premier League to the Conference. Jordan Sinnott
Jordan James Sinnott (14 February 1994 – 25 January 2020) was an English footballer who played as a midfielder. He was the son of the former Huddersfield Town captain Lee Sinnott and was contracted to Northern Premier League side Matlock Town at the time of his death in January 2020. He died following an altercation in Retford town centre where he was attacked. Edmund Ware Sinnott
Edmund Ware Sinnott (February 5, 1888–January 6, 1968) was an American botanist and educator. Sinnott is best known for his work in plant morphology. Career Sinnott received his Bachelor of Arts (1908), Master of Arts (1910), and Doctor of Philosophy (1913), all from Harvard University. During his freshman year of college, he lived in Stoughton Hall. Sinnott studied in Australia with Arthur Johnson Eames from 1910-1911. Upon graduation, he became an instructor at Harvard, and worked with I. W. Bailey, the anatomist. From 1915-1928, he was at the Connecticut Agricultural College at Storrs, becoming Professor of Botany and Genetics. Kathy Sinnott (; born 29 September 1950) is a disability rights activist and politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the South constituency from 2004 to 2009. Early life Sinnott was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1950. She married Declan Sinnott when they were both aged twenty one. The couple have three daughters and six sons together, they are now separated. Career She is secretary of the Hope Project, a charity that helps people with disabilities. Sinnott founded the Hope Project in 1996. In 2000, she took a court case to force the Government of Ireland to provide a primary school education for her son Jamie who has multiple disabilities. In 2001, the High Court ruled that every person in Ireland had a constitutional right to free appropriate primary education based on need. Herbert Arthur Sinnott (January 7, 1871 – after 1923) was a Canadian educator, lawyer and municipal politician who served as the 18th mayor of Calgary, Alberta from 1913 to 1915. Sinnott was born in Kings County, New Brunswick on January 7, 1871 to David S., a farmer, and Frances (née Taylor) Sinnott.MacRae 1912, pg. 573 After attending schools in Sussex, New Brunswick, Sinnott graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Arts and started his teaching career in Gagetown as principal of a grammar school. Declan Sinnott
Declan Sinnott (born 29 July 1950) is an Irish musician and record producer. Originally from Wexford town, where his father was an optician and jeweller on Main Street, he came to Dublin in the late 1960s. Around 1970 he was a member of the poetry-and-music group Tara Telephone, in which he composed, sang, and played guitar. He and poet/percussionist Eamon Carr left Tara Telephone to form the Celtic Rock band Horslips, which Sinnott left in 1972, before the recording of Horslips' first album in 1973. He married Kathy Sinnott (née Kelly) when he was twenty two. They had nine children together, but are now separated. Steve Sinnott (24 June 1951 – 5 April 2008) was the General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers from 2004 until his death in 2008. Born in Liverpool, Sinnott became deputy General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers in 1994 in the middle of his year as National President of the Union. Sinnott was the first President of the Union to have attended a comprehensive school. He took a four-year BA in Social Sciences at Middlesex Polytechnic, graduating in 1974, and a PGCE at Edge Hill College in Ormskirk in 1975. Nicola Sinnott (born 8 August 1987) is a Republic of Ireland women's international footballer who plays for Wexford Youths of the Women's National League. Club career Sinnott played youth football for Boca Juniors of Gorey, then attended University College Dublin on a soccer scholarship. Kevin Sinnott (born 1947, Wales) is a Welsh painter known for contemporary depictions of Welsh life. Biography Sinnott was born in Sarn, South Wales to Irish parents. One of his best known paintings is "Running Away With the Hairdresser" (1995), which is housed in the collection of the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff. Sinnott studied at Cardiff College of Art and Design from 1967 to 1968, then Gloucester College of Art & Design from 1968 to 1971 and finally; the Royal College of Art in London from 1971 to 1974. During the 1970s and 1980s he exhibited at London galleries including Anne Berthoud and Martin Tinney. Lillian Sinnott (1890 – January 5, 1914) was an American stage actress. Biography Career Sinnott was well known in Indianapolis, Indiana because of her association with the Murat Theater summer stock companies. She was first seen in support of Louis Mann in ''The Man Who Stood Still'', at English's Theater in Indianapolis. This was in December 1909 and again in April 1910. She returned to the city again and joined the Murat players in ingénue parts during the summer of 1911. She received praise for her role as Mary Jane in ''Mary Jane's Pa''. Jane Wheatley played her mother. The following December there was an attempt to form a stock company at the Colonial Theater in Indianapolis.
