Fountain Gate Football Club is a professional football club based in Manyara Region, Tanzania. The club competes in the NBC Premier League, the top division in the Tanzania Football League. They were founded as Diamond Trust Bank Football Club in 2010, changed their name to Singida Fountain Gate FC in 2023 and later to Fountain Gate FC in 2024. History Fountain Gate FC was founded in 2010 as a team of DTB Bank employees known as Diamond Trust Bank Football Club (DTB FC) before changing their name. DTB FC later gained popularity after performing well in bank bonanzas throughout the country, prompting the bank's leadership to invest in the team officially and advocate for it to compete in the First Division League (Championship). In 2022, DTB Bank discontinued their ownership of the football team in order to focus on its core banking functions after the club gained promotion to the Premier League. Robert Matano
Robert Matano is a former Kenyan association football, footballer, and currently the head coach at Tanzanian Premier League, Tanzania Premier League side Singida Fountain Gate F.C., Fountain Gate Matano is a four-time Kenyan Premier League winning coach having won the title with Sofapaka F.C. on their debut season in 2009, and with Tusker F.C. in the 2012, 2020–21, and 2021–22 seasons. Career Matano was a defender who turned out for Abeingo, Nakuru Youth Olympic, Hakati FC, Kenatco FC then AFC Leopards. After ten years of playing, he moved to coaching starting out at Pumwani Sportif in 1986. The 2024–25 Tanzanian Premier League (known as the NBC Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 60th season of the Tanzanian Premier League, the top-tier football league in Tanzania (mainland only), since its establishment in 1965. Hans Van Der Pluijm
Hans van der Pluijm (born 3 January 1949) is a Dutch football coach and former player who coaches Singida BS. in Tanzania. Playing career A former goalkeeper, he played almost 20 years for Den Bosch between 1967 and 1986. He made 66 Eredivisie games for them and was succeeded between the posts by another Den Bosch legend, Jan van Grinsven.
