Singer Season 5
''Singer'' 2017 was the fifth season of the Chinese television series of the rebranded version of ''I Am a Singer''. Due to the banning of Korean-related brands and artists in China, the series went with a rebranding under a simplified title of ''Singer'', but otherwise retained similar competition format from the past four seasons of ''I Am a Singer''. This is the only season in which no singers doubled their roles as the hosts, and He Jiong, who hosted the finale after a year's absence, served as the host. The fifth season premiered on January 21, 2017, on Hunan Television, and ended on April 22, 2017. Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam was named the winner of the season, Kazakhstan's Dimash Kudaibergen and Taiwanese band Lion were named runner-up and third place, respectively. I Am A Singer (Chinese Season 1)
''I Am a Singer'' () is a Chinese version of the Korean reality television, reality show ''I Am a Singer'' and it is broadcast on Hunan Television. The show's first season premiered on January 18, 2013. The competitions was divided into five rounds (each round comprising two episodes), and the final phase having three episodes which was not included in the Korean version (Revival Round (which would later be called Breakout Round in the next season), Semifinals and Finals), giving the series a total of 13 episodes. Each round features seven singers performing in front of 500 public audiences to judge. The first episode of each round doesn't has any singer eliminated, but subsequent episodes will eliminate one singer, which was decided on which singers received a lower count of votes, while a new singer will substitute the eliminated singer in the following episode. Terry Lin
Terrance Lin (; born 6 July 1966) is a Taiwanese singer. He has been nominated for the Golden Melody Awards 5 times for Best Mandarin Male Artist. He is known for his clear and elegant high voice, which utilizes different resonance in his head to 'mix' head voice and falsetto to effortlessly move to the high ranges and maintain power and volume despite his slight build. I Am A Singer (Chinese Season 3)
''I Am a Singer'' (season 3), is a Chinese TV series produced by Hunan TV. The show was launched in 2015, and aired every Friday at 10:00 pm. The program was produced by Hong Tao, and the show's music director was Kubert Leung. In 2015, Liby Enterprise Group paid 3 million to acquire exclusive naming rights for the program, compared to Season 2 (0.65 million). There were minor changes to the rules of competition for this season, including the debut of the "Challenge Round", where singers had to finish in a certain position to be allowed to remain in the competition.
