Sin Piedad
''Sin Piedad'' (Spanish for "No Mercy" or "No Pity", not to be confused with a similarly-titled series of PPV's hosted by WWE) is the collective name of a series of annual ''lucha libre'', or professional wrestling major show promoted by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The ''Sin Piedad'' show is CMLL's end of the year show, held in December. The first show held under the ''Sin Piedad'' took place in 2000, although CMLL has traditionally held a major event in December before then. ''Sin Piedad'' has been held eleven times so far, with the end of years event in 2005 billed as '' Juicio Final'' ("Final Justice") and then 2009 event billed as '' Sin Salida'' ("No Escape") instead. Marcela (wrestler)
María Elena Santamaría Gómez (born May 31, 1971) is a Mexican professional wrestler, known mainly for her work in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where she works under the ring name Marcela. As Marcela, she is one of the top ''técnicas'' (the "good" characters, or faces) in CMLL. Her daughter is also a professional wrestler, known under the name Skadi, who often teams with her mother. Santamaría has worked for CMLL since the early 1990s and has also wrestled in Japan and on the Mexican independent circuit. In 2018, she began her fifth reign as CMLL World Women's Champion, which is a CMLL record. She is a one-time Mexican National Women's Champion, held the District Federal Women's championship for over five years, and won the XMW Women's Championship. Rey Bucanero
Arturo García Ortiz (born July 19, 1974) is a Mexican '' luchador'' or professional wrestler best known under the ring name Rey Bucanero. Ortiz, as Rey Bucanero, has worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) since 1996. His ring name is Spanish for "Buccaneer King", which was originally reflected in his mask that featured a skull face and an eye patch. Ortiz was unmasked in 1999 and has worked unmasked ever since. He is the nephew of Pirata Morgan, from whom he took the Pirate character, as well as the nephew of Hombre Bala and El Verdungo. Black Warrior (wrestler)
Jesus Toral López (born January 7, 1969) is a luchador or professional wrestler who has worked almost exclusively in Mexico. López has achieved most success under the ring name Black Warrior. He is best known for his work for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) between 1995 and 2013. Over the years Black Warrior has played both the rúdo (the Spanish term used for the villains in wrestling) and técnico (the Spanish term used for the good guys in wrestling). Before assuming the "Black Warrior" ring persona, López worked for almost a decade under various ring personas, generally with little success. Guadalupe Ramona Olvera is a Mexican professional wrestler, or '' Luchadora'' as they are called in Spanish, best known under the ring name La Amapola (Spanish for "The Poppy"). Olvera is best known for her work in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), which she has worked for all her career. She has also made appearances for various other Mexican promotions including International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) where she held or holds the IWRG Intercontinental Women's Championship. Jorge Luis Casas Ruiz (born March 22, 1964), better known by his ring name El Felino ("The Feline"), is a Mexican '' luchador'' (or professional wrestler) working for Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Casas started his professional wrestling career under the name Babe Casas, working for the Universal Wrestling Association (UWA). In 1989, he adopted the "Felino" ring character, wearing an orange full body suit and cat inspired mask. Juan Manuel Zúñiga (June 24, 1963 – March 18, 2007) was a Mexican professional wrestler, or '' Luchador'' as they are called in Spanish, best known for working under the ring name Ángel Azteca (Aztec Angel) since the late 1980s. Zúñiga is not related to wrestlers " Ángel Azteca, Jr." and "Ángel Azteca II", instead they paid Zúñiga to use the name and image. As Ángel Azteca Zúñiga worked as an enmascarado, or masked wrestler, until losing a match against Arkangel de la Muerte in 2003 where he was forced to unmask. Jonathan de Jesus Navarro Jímenez (born August 25, 1982) is a Mexican Luchador, or professional wrestler, currently working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) using the ring name Mictlán. Mictlán was originally an '' enmascarado'', or masked wrestler but lost his mask to Dragón Rojo, Jr., on August 8, 2008. On August 18, 2009 Navarro won his first wrestling championship, defeating Misterioso, Jr. to win the Occidente Light Heavyweight Championship. Humberto Sánchez Medorio is a Mexican ''luchador'' '' Enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Pequeño Black Warrior, or Pequeño Warrior. Sánchez works for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), in their ''Mini-Estrella'' division as a smaller version of wrestler Black Warrior. Lucha De Apuestas
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached. The 2008 ''Sin Piedad'' was the seventh event under that name that CMLL promoted as their last major show of the year, always held in December.
