''Sin Piedad'' (2008) (Spanish for "No Mercy") was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), which took place on August 29, 2008 in Arena Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico. The 2008 ''Sin Piedad'' was the seventh event under that name that CMLL promoted as their last major show of the year, always held in December. The main event was Six-man "Lucha Libre rules" tag team match between Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr. and Dr. Wagner Jr. and the team of Black Warrior, Mr. Niebla and Rey Bucanero. The show also featured two '' Lucha de Apuesta'' matches, the first one saw La Amapola and Lady Apache put their hair on the line. Rey Bucanero
Arturo García Ortiz (born July 19, 1974) is a Mexican '' luchador'' or professional wrestler best known under the ring name Rey Bucanero. Ortiz, as Rey Bucanero, has worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) since 1996. His ring name is Spanish for "Buccaneer King", which was originally reflected in his mask that featured a skull face and an eye patch. Ortiz was unmasked in 1999 and has worked unmasked ever since. He is the nephew of Pirata Morgan, from whom he took the Pirate character, as well as the nephew of Hombre Bala and El Verdungo. While he has primarily worked for CMLL through most of his career he has made appearances in the United States, most notably for the World Wrestling Federation and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as well as in Japan for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). CMLL Super Viernes (Spanish for "CMLL Super Friday") is the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre's banner event that takes place every Friday in Arena México in Mexico City, Mexico. The shows take place every Friday all year long, except when CMLL schedules a "Super Show" or a pay-per-view (PPV) to take its place since all CMLL PPVs and Super Shows take place on Friday nights in Arena México. A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling that has little relationship to the rules of the amateur olympic form. "Promotion" also describes a role which entails management, advertising and logistics of running a wrestling event (''see promoter''). Within the convention of the show, the company is a sports governing body which sanctions wrestling matches and gives authority to the championships and is responsible for maintaining the divisions and their rankings. In truth, the company serves as a touring theatre troupe, as well as event promotion body for its own events. Mini-Estrella
The term ''Mini-Estrella'' ( Spanish for "Mini-Star") is used in lucha libre to describe a division of short professional wrestlers or ''luchadors'', some of whom have dwarfism. The Mexican ''Mini-Estrellas'' is comparable to Midget wrestling practiced around the world, but with the notable exception that some of the ''Mini-Estrellas'' do not have dwarfism but are simply short. Some ''Mini-Estrellas'' have later on moved on to work as regular sized competitors. Impact Wrestling (stylized as ''IMPACT! Wrestling''), is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Founded by Jeff and Jerry Jarrett in 2002, the promotion was initially known as NWA: Total Nonstop Action (''NWA-TNA'') and was associated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), though not an official member. A wrestling mask is a fabric-based mask that some professional wrestlers wear as part of their in-ring persona or gimmick. Professional wrestlers have been using masks as far back as 1915 and they are still widely used today, especially in Lucha Libre in Mexico. History At the 1865 World's Fair, Theobaud Bauer debuted the mask, wrestling as "The Masked Wrestler" in Paris, France. He continued wrestling using the mask throughout France as part of a circus troupe in the 1860s before moving on to the United States in the early 1870s. In 1915, Mort Henderson started wrestling as the "Masked Marvel" in the New York area making him the first North American wrestler to perform with such a gimmick. Jonathan de Jesus Navarro Jímenez (born August 25, 1982) is a Mexican Luchador, or professional wrestler, currently working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) using the ring name Mictlán. Mictlán was originally an '' enmascarado'', or masked wrestler but lost his mask to Dragón Rojo, Jr., on August 8, 2008. On August 18, 2009 Navarro won his first wrestling championship, defeating Misterioso, Jr. to win the Occidente Light Heavyweight Championship.
