''Sigmatineurum'' is a genus of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It is endemic to Hawaii, occurring on all the main islands in the archipelago. It is part of the ''Eurynogaster'' complex of genera. Abbé Octave Parent (15 June 1882, in Trescault – 9 February 1942, in Ambleteuse) was a French entomologist who specialized in Diptera, mostly the family Dolichopodidae. He became director of the Biological Station, Ambleteuse. He published three papers, dated 1934, 1937 and 1940, concerning twenty-six new species of Hawaiian '' Campsicnemus''.
