Siddique Ahmad
Siddique Ahmad (1903 – 19 May 1987) was a 20th-century Bangladeshi Islamic scholar and politician, widely known as Khatib-e-Azam for his oratory skills. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of East Pakistan in 1954 and later held key positions in the Nizam-e-Islam Party, serving as Secretary-General and Vice President. In the late 1960s, when the party merged with the Pakistan Democratic Party, he opposed the merger and revived the original organization under the name Markazi Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Nizam-i-Islam, once again serving as Secretary-General and contesting the 1970 Pakistani general election, 1970 general elections. He did not support the Bangladesh Liberation War, and after the country's independence, he was imprisoned for 22 months and faced a ban on Islamist political activity. Chakaria () is an upazila of Cox's Bazar District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Geography Chakoria has 88,391 households and a total area of 503.83 km2. Once there was a mangrove forest named Chakaria Sunderban here. But now it is no more. Demographics As of the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Chakaria upazila had 88,391 households and a population of 474,465. 134,516 (28.35%) were under 10 years of age. Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi
Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi (known as Qari Muhammad Tayyib) was an Indian Sunni Islamic scholar who served as Vice Chancellor of Darul Uloom Deoband for more than half a century. He was grandson of Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, the founder of the Darul Uloom Deoband. Biography Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi was born in 1892 or 1897 into the Siddiqi family of Nanauta. He served as Deputy Vice Chancellor of Darul Uloom Deoband from 1344 AH to 1347 AH (1924 to 1928 AD). He succeeded Habibur Rahman Usmani as Vice Chancellor of Darul Uloom in mid-1348 AH (1929 AH) and resigned on August 9, 1982 AD (Dhu al-Qadah 18, 1402 AH), after disagreements and disturbances erupted in Darul Uloom Deoband in 1980 (1400 AH). Anjuman-e-Ittihadul Madaris Bangladesh is one of six officially recognized Qawmi madrasa education boards in Bangladesh, operating under Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh.
