''Maariv'' () is a Hebrew-language daily newspaper published in Israel. From Sunday to Thursday, it is printed under the ''Ma'ariv Hashavu'a'' () brand, while the weekend edition that is out on Friday is called ''Ma'ariv SofHashavu'a'' (). A daily, abridged version of the newspaper, called ''Ma'ariv Haboker'' (), is distributed for free every morning during the week. ''Ma'ariv Haboker'' is the fourth largest Israeli newspaper in terms of readership (after ''Israel HaYom'', ''Yedioth Ahronoth'' and ''Haaretz''). Since May 2014, ''Maariv''s co-editors in chief are Doron Cohen and Golan Bar-Yosef. Apart from the daily newspaper and its supplements, ''Maariv'' has a chain of local newspapers with a national-scale distribution and magazine division. New Israeli Shekel
The new Israeli shekel (, ; ; currency symbol, sign: Shekel sign, ₪; ISO 4217, ISO code: ILS; unofficial abbreviation: NIS), also known as simply the Israeli shekel (; ), is the currency of Israel and is also used as a legal tender in the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The new shekel is divided into 100 Israeli agora, agorot. The new shekel has been in use since 1 January 1986, when it replaced the hyperinflation, hyperinflated Old Israeli shekel, old shekel at a ratio of 1000:1. 230px, Kalman Liebskind Kalman Liebskind (; born on 1970) is an Israeli journalist. Early life Liebskind was born in Nir Galim and studied at the Yeshivat Or Etzion. He was drafted into the Intelligence Corps of the Israel Defense Forces and upon discharge, worked as a private investigator. Media career In 1997, he was one of the founding journalists at Makor Rishon and worked as an investigative reporter. In 2000, he began working at Maariv. In recent years, Liebskind has published a weekly column in Maariv's "Mosafshabat" which deals with weekly political and current affairs. Between 2011 and 2016, Liebskind co-hosted the main morning news and current affairs radio show with Erel Segal on Galey Yisrael. Tzipura "Tzipi" Hotovely (; born 2 December 1978) is an Israeli diplomat and former politician who serves as the current Ambassador of Israel to the United Kingdom. She served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Minister of Settlement Affairs, and as a member of the Knesset for the Likud party. Yehonatan Geffen
Yehonatan Geffen (; 22 February 1947 – 19 April 2023), also known as Yonatan Gefen, was an Israeli author, poet, songwriter, journalist, satirist and playwright. Early life and education Geffen was born in moshav Nahalal. In 1965, he served as a paratrooper in the Israel Defense Forces under Matan Vilnai, and became an officer. After his discharge from the IDF in 1969 and moving to Tel Aviv, he took up poetry. He later studied in London. Career In 1972, after his return from studies at Cambridge University in London, Geffen began writing a satirical column for the weekend supplement of the Hebrew-language mainstream newspaper ''Maariv_(newspaper), Ma'ariv''. Moshe Arens (; 27 December 1925 – 7 January 2019) was an Israeli aeronautical engineer, researcher, diplomat, and Likud politician.
