''Sharkey's Machine'' is the 2004 debut album of Washington, D.C. DJ and producer Sharkey (Shaun Sharkey). Ranging across a variety of styles, this hip hop work features vocalists including Cannibal Ox, Cherrywine ("Butterfly" from Digable Planets), Jean Grae, Grand Puba of Brand Nubian, and The Pharcyde. Critical reception Reviews were generally negative, with critics finding the album to be an unexciting take on influences such as RJD2, DJ Shadow, N.E.R.D., and Zero 7. He is best known as a member of the hip hop group Fugees, alongside Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill. Ishmael Reginald Butler (born July 3, 1969) is an American rapper, record producer and songwriter. He is best known for his work with such groups as Digable Planets in the 1990s and Shabazz Palaces in the 2010s. Early life Butler, who is a native of Seattle, was born in 1969. His father was a history professor at the University of Virginia. He first forayed into music by playing the alto saxophone in his middle school jazz band. In 1987, he graduated from Garfield High School and moved to Massachusetts to enroll in college. He is one half of underground hip hop duo Cannibal Ox and a member of the hip hop group Atoms Family. Career Vordul Mega's debut solo album, ''The Revolution of Yung Havoks'', was released in 2004. Zero 7 are an English musical duo consisting of Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. They began as studio engineers and in 1997 formed the group Zero 7. Their debut album, '' Simple Things'', was released in 2001 in which their song "Destiny" stayed in the top 100 of the UK Single Charts. Subsequent albums include '' When It Falls'', '' The Garden'', and '' Yeah Ghost''.
