Vast Aire
Theodore Arrington II (born February 5, 1978), better known by his stage name Vast Aire, is an American rapper from New York City. He is one half of the New York hip hop duo Cannibal Ox, which consists of him and fellow rapper Vordul Mega. He is also a member of the rap group Atoms Family and Scienceninjateam. He was born in Mount Vernon, New York, then lived in Jamaica, Queens, Vast also spent time in Poughkeepsie, NY having graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, before moving to Harlem, and became acquainted with the underground rap scene, performing in many clubs while still a teenager. He was once a part of the underground hip hop group The Weathermen.and then recorded with Al Babblez and Scienceninjateam records. Underground Hip Hop
Underground hip hop (also known as underground rap or simply underground) traditionally refers to hip hop music that is outside the general mainstream canon or counter-cultural in nature, usually with a heavy emphasis on emotion, lyricism, and/or social consciousness. Being outside of the mainstream, it is common for artists or songs that are considered "underground" to have little commercial success, though this is not a requirement, as many have gained massive followings, especially in the streaming era. The High & Mighty is an American hip hop duo from Philadelphia, composed of rapper Mr. Eon ("The High", b. Erik Meltzer in February 16, 1972) and producer DJ Mighty Mi ("The Mighty", b. Milo Berger in September 1, 1972). Career Their commercial debut was in 1999 on the underground rap label Rawkus with their album, ''Home Field Advantage'', featuring rappers, such as Mos Def, Kool Keith, What? What?, Cage, Pharoahe Monch, Evidence of Dilated Peoples, Defari, Thirstin Howl III, and Eminem. Critical reception Andy Kellman of AllMusic gave the album 3 stars out of 5, commenting that "Mighty Mi's beats are a good match for Vast, packing all the necessary grit and disorienting ambiance, but the album lacks '' The Cold Vein''s dark edge." Rahem Ross Brown (March 20, 1970 – November 6, 2022), better known by his stage name Tame One, was an American hip hop recording artist and graffiti artist from New Jersey. He was a member of Artifacts, Leak Bros, and the hip-hop supergroup The Weathermen. Musical career As half of rap duo Artifacts (with brother El Da Sensei), they released their "graffiti-honoring debut" album '' Between a Rock and a Hard Place'' in 1994, and a follow-up album ''That's Them'' in 1997. Camu Tao
Tero Smith (June 26, 1977 – May 25, 2008), better known by his stage name Camu Tao, was an American rapper, singer, and producer. Early life Tao was born Tero Smith in Columbus, Ohio, on June 26, 1977. Career Tao was signed to Definitive Jux. He was a member of several groups: S.A. Smash, The Weathermen, Central Services (with El-P), and the music collective Cardboard City. He was also part of the MHz crew with Copywrite, RJD2, Jakki tha Motamouth, and Tage Future. Partnering with Cage to form Nighthawks, the two crafted an album during a single three-day creative session. Death Tao died of lung cancer at the age of 30 on May 25, 2008, two years after being diagnosed. Yak Ballz, born Yashar Zadeh, is an American independent hip hop artist who was brought up in Flushing, Queens, New York. He is one of the original members of The Weathermen. He is also a member of Cardboard City. Since 2019 he has worked for Warner Bros. Records as Vice President of their Media & Strategic Development team.
